@Desertdi - Someone not using a gift card - in other words, forgetting all about it or losing it - does not constitute financial mis-dealings on the part of a company.  It happens all the time, to the tune of billions of dollars.

Unless you are referring to something else?

(Also, there have been numerous - too many to list - cases where independent auditors have missed funds being embezzled for years.  They are not infallible.  And true criminals are clever.)

@Barbara-QVC - Thank you for posting on this.  I'm sure there may be others with the same question.

Re: Received Unclaimed Property Form in mail - HELP Scam?

@Barbara-QVC Thank you SO much.  I will email the social team as you and a few other suggested.  I've been 50/50 on this and it's been driving me nuts.  Hopefully they can help.

Thanks to all of you for your thoughts and for researching on your own!  I've googled a lot, searched the unclaimed money sites to no avail.  It wouldn't be on the unclaimed money sites yet anyway - the letter states if I don't answer in 60 days they will THEN submit it to my state as unclaimed property.

And it's very possible I purchased a card around that time, unfortunately it doesn't show up in my QVC orders and HSN's doesn't go back far enough.  I could have purchased it from a survey site that I'm in (numerous) - who knows.  I would have never known I should keep track.  Ugh!

I'll post again once I hear back from the social team.  Thanks again, Barb!

Does it generally take awhile to hear back once emailing the social team?  I emailed on 12/18 and still have heard nothing back.....  @Barbara-QVC
