@hckynut I am sorry that some on here do not understand your frustration. I understand you have been helping people with tech issues etc. and don't feel that you did anything wrong. Some things are not worth worrying about. Some posters on here are heartless, and don't consider that a persons feelings may have been hurt. Some people can brush stuff off, but some can't. I hope you can move on from this, and have fun again on here.
I actually started a list of people that irritate me and I won't even comment or post on anything that they post. Good Luck John!

I have no knowledge of the posts that were deleted. You will never find me in electronics. That part of my brain never developed.
I have had some posts go away that I thought were innocent in the years I have been here. I think it happens to many of us at one time or another. While it is frustrating, I have never thought it a good idea for the moderators to interact so much with the posters. I see problems ahead if it keeps up.....it wouldn't surprise me if they just stopped doing it.
This is just my take as a "not so silent" observer and is not intended to take sides. I don't even know what the sides are!
With all that said, John, I have found your advice (medical...not electronics!) very informative and useful and will continue to follow that regardless.

99.9999% of the time when I have had a post or thread removed, I just say, "Eh" and move on. It's not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things, and certainly nothing worth getting my undies in a twist over.
It's called life on the Q boards, and one either learns to live with it, and accept it as a way of life around here, or they are free to move on to a site that is more to their liking.
Sure it would be nice to know exactly why they do what they do, but the truth of the matter is, the mods don't owe us an explanation.
And if people don't like that? Well, there is a whole big internet out there, and I'm sure that there is another chat room/board that is to their liking, or they can create one, and run it exactly how they want to.

@hckynut - Hi John, I have no knowledge about any of the background of this. All I know is that you have gone so far out of your way to be such a help to everyone when you share your vast experiences and knowledge, particularly in the medical area.
Thanks for all you have done for everyone!

I would say the last person I would think would have a post removed would be John, so I would like to know the answer as well.
I had a post removed AND my access blocked after I posted a funny picture about what the next WEN scent would be. This was on the WEN forum with the WEN fans and we were joking around.
I emailed the Mods and they restored my access but never explained why my post was deleted or why I was banned.
I guess I'll never know.
