Question On Return / Exchange & Losing Discount

I have an order I sent out in the mail as an exchange today, with a QVC USPS Return Label, Item A610833 (Barefoot Dreams Pullover & pants), was wanting to exchange for a different inseam, but I've been told that the $20 discount I had used for my original order will be lost completely if I want to exchange it for a Tall inseam, as the original was a Regular inseam - is that true?
I thought you only lost a coupon amount on an item if you returned it, but not if you exchange it?

There's a warning on the site that says an6 change may result in the loss of any discount.  I recently placed an order for a jacket using a discount code,  I changed my mind on the color, did an edit and sure enough, lost my discount.  I got peeved and canceled the whole order.

Once a coupon or discount code is used that is it. They consider this a one time only so make sure you get it right the first time. It sounds unfair but that is how it works. Sorry for any disappointment.

Hi @Kachina624,

 The same exact thing happened to me, and, I thought it was just unfair. I tried to change the payment from easy pay to 1 payment only and it took away the 10.00 I earned. 

Now we know... live and learn as they say!

I haven't needed to try such an exchange here at QVC, but I think it's common that the discount is for one use only.

I did read that as well.  I am glad that so far HSN hasn't done that.  I canceled my order to reorder something else and was able to use the coupon.

You can always call right back and have CS put the order the way you want it.

 

 

Once I changed the date on an AD, I then lost the last shipment which I still wanted.  So I called and she just undid what I had done!

@millieshops  @meallen616.  It's  the way computers are programmed so these codes can't be used more than once.  I don't like it but I can understand why it has to be that way.

That's ridiculous since she's exchanging it for the same item different size? Even if it's not the same item you should be able to use it. Guess you better make sure if you have a coupon to use it one something you know you won't have to return?
