I emailed QVC social team regarding the pricing and this is the answer:

I’m so sorry for any confusion, but this is intentional and not a programming problem. The “no returns” messaging will be removed from the product description for these items also. Hope this helps.

It is a real eye opener.

It's my experience that many retailers do this, e.g., Macy's, Blair, Lands End, etc.  Prices fluctuate from day to day.  It doesn't make sense--if it doesn't sell at a lower price, why should it at the higher???  BUT another case of buyer beware.

The only other individual so far in this thread that is 'getting my point' is @elated

Sigh...

Your point being that when the item returns to full price it should be able to be returned or exchanged???  Maybe a glitch, maybe not.

@kaydee50  I'm at a point I don't know whether to laugh or cry out of sheer frustration...

Sadly, you are still missing the point. I don't know what else I can say that I haven't said already.

Here's a screenshot of the point I'm trying to make...

I get notices from Amazon regarding price increases but not to the point they have increased almost 4 times the clearance price. I think this will further hurt their business. If you have very limited inventory, why would you want to keep it. Customers are not stupid. I am not the decision maker for this company but it will not help.

There has already been a thread started about this issue. The problem seems to be getting worse though.

Many items have been reverted back to their original QVC price AFTER they have been put on clearance, clearance sale, primetime/lunchtime special pricing.

THAT IS NOT NORMAL! There must be a glitch in the system somewhere. The issue has been worsening. I have been seeing more and more of these every day. Please pass the info on to the 'powers that be' in the IT dept.

Below are 8 examples:

View the price history on all of them (a moderator can do this):

Many on the list above state in red text that the item is not eligible for returns or exchanges AND went back to the QVC price.

I'm so sorry, but the items are converted back to QVC pricing because of major restock on these items. I hope this clears any confusion you may have concerning the decision that was made. This was from Wayne, QVC Social Team.!!!

This is another reply I got from the QVC social team:

@elated   OMG...I need a drink now. I haven't had any alcoholic drink in ages, so that is saying something.

I'm thinking the QVC social team is still missing the point, so that is why I added the image to the OP.

Otherwise, from now on items will be sold at QVC for FULL price and NOT be allowed to be returned or exchanged.

BUT,,,

Something is STILL not right though...

I seriously doubt the items I listed in my OP will be restocked. A couple of great examples of this are the Candace Cameron Bure items...

CCB is NOT with QVC anymore.

SMH.

So IMHO, be VERY mindful folks when you place an order for ANYTHING with QVC from now on. Double check that you will be able to return or exchange if needed.

@elated.  Presumably, you'd need to ask someone more knowledgeable who has studied merchandising to get the answer.  There must be some method to the madness.

The bargain i got last week had the "no returns" advisory removed when it changed back to the higher pricing.

@Wayne-QVC  I added an image to the OP pointing to the specific issue. Also, please read my last post to @elated

BOO!   👎

(Wayne, I know you're just the messenger, and you're not the one setting this policy.  It's just a reaction for QVC management--not you.  Thank you for letting us know.)

I thought it was a glitch too... I wanted 2 more ponte pants priced under $28.00, now they're $84. & still marked Not Eligible For Return. I know pricing changes but that's frustrating.
