One reason customers might be unhappy with QVC is back orders.  Yesterday I placed an order and today  my order page shows the item is on back order.  I looked at the item and nowhere does it state back order!  I can understand items not being in stock or unavailable until a certain date but why the deceit?  Just be honest with your customers.  So...I then looked at Amazon and was actually surprised the same item at a higher price!  Needless to say I am not ordering from Amazon and I cancelled the order on QVC.  My guess for back order status is the company could not ship due to the reduced price on QVC.  Result....lost revenue and unhappy customer.

QVC does this constantly. Not so other companies.

I finally have an order coming tomorrow--I think 🤔 --after ordering 2 weeks ago. Didn't think about the transportation part of all this nonsense being affected. Placed another one yesterday too---geez!!!That will make me think twice about ordering. Surprise!! I was able to cancel both orders right now!! That really surprises me because usually it says it's in process and you can't cancel. didn't need either of them anyway.

Yesterday I saw a vendor present an item and I immediately ordered it no problem.  Last night it showed up on backorder.

HSN no issues with shipping. I'm receiving orders quickly.

Blair has a similar situation.  I ordered several items and it took 3 weeks to reach me.  When I emailed them, they told me they were having problems in their distribution center.  As soon as I said I wanted to cancel within hours the orders were "shipped." 

 

I understand their not wanting to lose a sale but it has prevented me from ordering any additional items, which I don't "need" anyway!

I've had that happen with a couple of orders that immediately went to Advanced Order when I place the order.  No mention of it on the product page or in the presentation.

@Gabidog I apologize for any confusion. Your sweater is scheduled to ship the week of 5/26 and this was factored into the estimated delivery date of 6/2 on the order.

@ellaphant.  No qvc does not do this constantly.  It's a new development in the past couple of months, undoubtedly due to shipping problems.  I'm sure other retailers are having similar pronblems.   Do you think they want to have to deliver late merchandise?
