QVC.com Prevents Posting Reviews When Browser Ad-Blocker Is Activated

I recently tried to post a product review on QVC.com. A very good review in fact. QVC.com would not let me post the review so long as my browser's ad-blocker was activated. It told me to de-activate my browser's ad-blocking features and then try to re-submit the review. What a hassle. The new version of Microsoft Edge makes it difficult to de-activate all ad-blocking features.

This is not a good look for QVC. One takes the time to write a review that would help QVC, its customers and vendors, and QVC.com refuses to allow one to submit the review unless QVC can flash a bunch of ads. This has not been the case on the web site in the past.

@AuntMame.  It sounds as though it was the ad blocker, not QVC that prevented you from posting a review.  I've got two ad blockers and have never had a problem.  Your blocker is obviously blocking more than ads.

@AuntMame - It is possible that the issue is actually some integration problem with the Microsoft Edge browser, which is really not one of the best on the market. A few times over the years, the moderators and even callouts on qvc.com have recommended the Chrome browser for optimal site usage, and that's the browser I use—with an ad blocker—and don't encounter issues with submitting reviews. This website is really poorly conceived and maintained, though, so I totally understand your frustration.

Re: QVC.com Prevents Posting Reviews When Browser Ad-Blocker Is Activated

Thank you for the reply, Lori! Yes, I agree, the Microsoft Edge browser is not the best. The latest version--which Windows kindly downloaded and installed for me when I wasn't looking--has this super-duper ad-blocking feature which is the default. I've had problems deactivating it upon demand.

I downloaded and installed Chrome the other day out of frustration. Not fond of Chrome's tracking, so I'll probably switch to Firefox.

Again...thank you for the fast reply! Have a great day!

I just had to deactivate my ad blocker on Firefox on another site with no problem at all.
