QVC can you please address Incomplete Returns

[ Edited ]

QVC Can you please answer this question?

Will you please address the issue of items being returned without all the pieces.

I've looked at several Dooney and Bourke "As Is" handbags.  Every single review I've read about the "as is" purchase the handbag is either missing the extender strap, the registration card and always missing the storage bag.

I DO NOT understand how someone can order a pristine bag and knowingly and purposely  return it with missing items.

Just to be clear, do you still get the full refund even if you return something that is missing pieces?

Re: QVC can you please address Incomplete Returns

i have returned full priced handbags that were missing the strap and/or an accessory piece. i always got a full refund, including shipping, no questions asked.

a few times i have also called with an item missing problem. sometimes you can get a credit to your account if you are willing to keep the item instead of returning it.

qvc customer service on the phone and on the boards has always taken care of these issues very well.

@sunshine45

You received the item with the pieces missing.  You did not return the item without including them on purpose. I was under the impression that (like in a brick and mortar store) if you returned an item, you returned all of it.

why do you think that people are keeping items in a set and returning the remaining portion? if someone received an item with missing elements then i would guess that they either return them to qvc or try and get a partial refund. it would never be okay to just return some of the items in a set and keep some.

i guess i dont understand the question you are posing then.

Re: QVC can you please address Incomplete Returns

My thought is some one purchsed the item new, with all pieces...then decided to return but forgot to include maybe the over the shoulder strap....QVC resells it and sends it out "AS-IS"......the 2nd customer is now missing the strap.

@Mom2Dogs

I think momtodogs answered my question.  They could not sell a handbag with missing pieces as new, and whoever returned the originally just "forgot" to include all the pieces.

QVC should not give a full refund on a return that is missing pieces IMO. I wonder what would happen if you returned, say, one shoe, or one earring or missing pieces of a Temp Tations set......

On each "As Is" items was include the following disclaimer:

"This product may be a customer return, vendor sample, discontinued inventory, or on-air display and is not in its originally manufactured condition. It may not be new. In some instances, these items are repackaged by QVC. Accordingly, the manufacturer may not honor any original warranty. However, QVC's standard return policy still applies. A card will be included in your package explaining these points in greater detail."

I hope this is helpful.
