Posting this post again becasue the moderators or someone marked it as spam. This is not spam, this is an ordered I just received today. Just opened my order about 15 minutes ago only to be extremely disappointed. I ordered a Canon 5D Mark IV camera on 6 easy payments for a total of a little over $4,500 with expedited 2 day shipping. When I opened the box and looked at the device there were scratches and nicks on all 4 bottom corners, dust/dirt all in the cracks of the device, the camera strap mounts were discolored and scratched, the flash mount is scratched and discolored, the internal lens mechanism had a clear looking film on it as if some type of liquid had gotten inside of it, and to top it all of there was DRY FOOD on the bottom of the camera by the serial number!!! I understand some items are not handled by QVC and they hire third parties but this is horrible.. My grandad was always a huge fan of QVC when he bought coins and my Mother used QVC all the time when I grew up so I honestly never thought something like this would happen. I'm going through the process of returning the device and I obviously would like a brand new one but I'm not even sure if the third party company is trustworthy or even has these cameras brand new. I'd like to hope it was an honest mistake but we will see. The quality of this camera isn't even open box quality.. this is 100% used. I've attached images
I hope you have returned the camera and asked for a refund. AND, I hope that you have found a better place to buy an expensive camera from rather than QVC. There are many better places to find state of the art electronics and photo equipment that can offer advice and better prices, plus free shipping.
@Andrew Boynton Lesson learned..NEVER spend that much for electronics at QVC.....buy it from some one reputable.....you are hopefully only a fool once.
Maybe so, but it should've been sold as open box! This is a $4,000 dollar camera.. and QVC already had it a little over priced
That thing is really beat up. I hope you don't have any trouble getting a refund. I know that the easy pay is often the deciding factor in making electronic purchases from QVC, but I learned my lesson long ago with a TV purchase from them. I tend to believe the posters who advise that their merchandise is often outdated.
@MarkeieMark I did plenty of research on the camera, I've wanted this model for roughly a year now. But no, I did not read the reviews on the QVC listing. Definitely a lesson learned... I just assumed QVC only worked with reputable companies plus I was unaware that this item would be fulfilled by a third party. When I shop on Overstock or Amazon it shows the Seller and lets you know if it is not fulfilled/shipped by them.
