Re: QVC NO MORE EXCUSES, WE’RE FED UP!

I called QVC Customer Service this morning complaining about the fact that QVC now throws (yes, throws) everything I've ordered into one huge box.

So, I managed to get a big box (delivered to my door) (more on that later) up my front steps, into my foyer and up the steps (split foyer).

Included in this big box were 2 pair of shoes, Dr. Denese makeup, several tops, sunglasses and miscellaneous clothes, I can't even remember all of the 'stuff' in this huge box!

OK, so I have sitting at the top of my driveway a huge (the size of a foot locker/with lid/tupperware like) for any packages to be delivered to me.

The reason:  So that they are out of the weather until someone can carry them in for me.  There are signs in my mailbox lid advising the post office.  There is also a sign on the garage door (where the mailman parks) advising them to turn to left and they will see the box to put the packages.

This foot locker thing would hold even that huge box (but that's not QVC's fault).  It is QVC's fault for combining everything in such a hugh box!

It has rained here in Northern Va every day and/or night forever!  Luckily, I saw (through the glass door) it sitting outside.

I called QVC and complained and was told, "yes, we have been making changes and yes, I can expect more of the same".

So, I gathered up everything I had from QVC and not worn (still in packages) and put all of it back into the box it was delivered in.

Now I'll have the kid next door carry it to my car tomorrow and will put it on my QVC dolly and take it back to the post office.

I'm happy to announce my "QVC addiction" has finally been cured.

My family is trying to decide what they're going to do with all of the money I'll be dispensing now that it is no longer to QVC.

So, included on top of the said box was my mail!  But that's not QVC's fault.....I'll be taking that up with the US Post Office that it wasn't in my MAILBOX!

This is all just a sign of the times people.  Oh!  The changes that have come and will keep coming.  Don't see any that are for the good.

HI @Annabellethecat66  so they put everything from that order in 1 box; if they sent it all separately you would have had what - 10 QVC boxes delivered?  I would think 1 box is easier to unpack.  You are going to return everything because of that?

@Ketra

Hmmm...my orders don't take that long...maybe 2 weeks at most, but not 3 to 4.

@Annabellethecat66  @Mj12  Annabellethecat, I’m disabled, but I like everything delivered in one box on my porch. I can open the box and empty out the contents little by little so that I don’t have to lift anything too heavy. I guess MJ12 and myself are a little confused as to what QVC did wrong in this instance?

@SurferWife  Hmmmm.. If you read the whole thread you would know many of my orders have been processing for 10 days or more so many have taken 3 weeks to actually arrive to me. Several orders that have taken a month to get to me were orders that I placed where items were in stock when I placed the order, but shortly after, turned to back-orders so I had to wait until items became available again to ship. QVC kept a hold on my money on my credit card for all that time and refused to let me cancel on any of those orders. At the very least QVC should have offered free shipping on all of those orders.

Well, shucks...bless your heart @Ketra.  I don't let the little annoyances in life bother me that much.  I'm just thankful to have the expendable income to shop...anywhere.  I hope your QVC shopping experience gets better. Woman Very Happy

Re: QVC NO MORE EXCUSES, WE’RE FED UP!

@Mj12  Yep I was used to getting it in different boxes or at least not ALL in the same box!

You see I can't get large packages up my front stairs (in fact, I don't even use the front steps anymore) so, I either have to wait until I can get a neighbor to help me get those huge boxes up the stairs and carry it in ..... or just let the @#$% sit out there til .......

Here's something for some of you to think about....so, has it ever occurred to you guys that QVC is waiting....waiting...until they have enough packages going your way or until the plane, etc is loaded enough to get them to you?

Those items were ordered at various times....they were held....

Those items are not sitting all together for someone to put them in one box.....so they could be sent to me.

So, to answer your question, it would save me angst if they came maybe two blouses, two pair of shoes (they weren't in boxes they were like they'd been hanging loose on a rack) together.

I didn't bother to list all of the various items in this huge box.

If some of you have no trouble lifting and carrying these huge (and I mean they are at least the size of 3 shoe box sizes that the shoes come in) boxes up and down several sets of stairs....I'm happy for you.

However, the time has passed (with my 2 fake knees and bad back and bla bla) that I can just get that freaking box up all of those stairs alone.

I hope I've been able to answer the questions.

It's all good though because I boxed it all up (and then some in that freaking box and when my friend comes over on Saturday she will load it into my car (or take it) to the post office.

I can push it from my car onto the QVC dolly I have and get it to the post office.

I asked QVC CS if I'll get charged the $6.95 (for the single box) and she said yes.  So.....I did learn something....

When it comes to my garage door, and it's that big I can push it into the garage and have a friend bring it up OR I can unload it in the garage and bring it up at different times.

The young boy next door helps me about once a week (i.e. mowing lawn, trash sometimes (i.e. litter, etc) so I can have him help me from the garage.

So, I hope I've explained it all.

Re: QVC NO MORE EXCUSES, WE’RE FED UP!

My last order shipped in 3 days and was delivered 3 days after that.

These forums represent a very little percentage of QVC shoppers.

@Warrior2022 I’m glad you figured those percentages out. I myself haven’t gotten those statistics yet, but QVC quarterly reports would indicate otherwise.

Re: QVC NO MORE EXCUSES, WE’RE FED UP!

@Annabellethecat66,  For a very long time I've seen requests (some demands) for QVC to consolidate multiple purchases into fewer shipping boxes.    (That follows a practice I've experienced with Amazon.com purchases, by the way.)   I wonder if what you experienced is an example of QVC deciding to do what some customers actually asked them to do?   If so, it's another example that no matter how many suggestions they receive, not everyone will be pleased with the outcomes.

Re: QVC NO MORE EXCUSES, WE’RE FED UP!

@dooBdoo I understand what you're saying and (to some extent) I agree.

I asked for a long time if my shipments going to my daughter could be either UPS or US Post Office and QVC said they have no control on how items are shipped out.

So, I understand.  I also understand QVC is a company that (like all companies) the bottom line is what counts.  They have an obligation to their shareholders to make as much money as possible.

When I talked to CS the other day, the young woman was very honest and she said that QVC is in the process of making a lot of changes in how they handle various 'things'.  She said THEY have no control over how THINGS are done or changed.

I told her I understand how that works.  I told her that probably people who just look at the bottom line never interface with the public and sit at desks all day long.  I always try to be courteous to those who answer the phones but I do say that 'if you should get asked please tell them bla bla' (knowing full well, no one bothers to ask those who interface with the public anything...!  That's too bad really, because a lot could be learned that way.......

I've said that for a long time now it's not the marjority that rules, it seems to be the squeeky wheel.

I see that with things that happen in my life.  I happen to be that said, 'squeeky wheel'.  I have the time, the will power, and the know how (sometimes) to TRY (key word TRY) to make some changes as it pertains to me.

I'm not talking about QVC but things locally where I live and in my life.

I've sat on a phone for more than 1 hour waiting for someone to answer.  You have no idea the letters I've written and the things I've taken the time to do.

It's interesting because often I do see results as far as it applies to me.  Maybe because I've shown interest and taken the time.  I don't know.

Anyway, thanks for the response.  Have a good evening. Smiley Happy
