Processing or preparing your order

which means shipping is eminent.  Or are they interchangeable?    I just wish shipping was quicker .   They state a date,   but items almost never arrives on that date. With  holidays over I'm hoping it gets better with my recent  orders..

Re: Processing or preparing your order

Just my thoughts.

Preparing your order means it will soon be, or has been, picked from the warehouse. I would think processing your order is the next step. IMO, neither means shipiping is imminent (though it should).

@Kitty Galore

"In Process" is the term used when your order is first received.

"Preparing Your Order" is later in the process and means just that--it's being prepared to ship.

Either message has no time limit.  Sometimes it takes a long time for either or both.

I don't order a lot anymore, but my orders are about even as to the ones that arrive before the estimated delivery date and those that arrive after.

Re: Processing or preparing your order

For me, one of the puzzling aspects of shipping problems is how random they are.  Before I finalize an order I check the final price and the estimated delivery date and if both suit me, I pick whether to pay the total or to use EZP.

The only order in the last 6 years when the delivery date was wrong was one time and by one day!!!   That week there were bad snowstorms over many of the airports and roads the order had to traverse.  No company wins over Mother Nature, so I was not irritated with QVC.

I don't remember when that event occurred, but I know every order I paid for in 2024 arrived by the time it had been promised.

Re: Processing or preparing your order

When I check orders and it has shipped I expect it to  be en route but lately shipped means a label has been created....NOT SHIPPED!  This means we are charged and I do not think that is a good policy.  I ordered a kitchen gadget on 1/8 and it remains on the road with the latest delivery on the 21st.   Who knows when it will be here.  Primula order is the same.   Delays in shipping ...unhappy customer.  Label created and several days sitting and not picked up....unhappy customer.

Funny, unlike HSN, you can't cancel an order once you order on QVC, but it takes forever to prepare.  I have one being prepared for 4days.

Re: Processing or preparing your order

I ignore those emails entitled, "Your order is on the way. " With the tossing between shippers who knows and then when USPS decides they have the ability and time? It seems like many items are combined for less delivery stops.  First class mail only during the holidays.

We had some areas in N. MN. that lacked  any mail service and legislators  had to intervene. In my area  the PO was refusing service to part time summer residents.  Not enough carriers. The only reliable company is generally Amazon. I opt for later service than overnight. I received a small item yesterday, on Sunday, that was early.

I am thankful it all eventually comes in good condition and is the item I actually ordered. I hate sending back shippers mistakes.

Re: Processing or preparing your order

I have a TOMMY COPPER order in for my son since 1/22. Due to deliver tomorrow the 28 of Jan. It's still in preparing. Call the Q and CS said will send notice to warehouse.

If the QVC team sees this, can they help.  It's an extra large WOTC socks compression ultra blend.  CS said still in stock. color core stripe x-lg.

Thank you
