Re: Post Office Refusing to Accept Return Package

A bit off topic, but I just received an order that not too long ago would have been delivered by UPS to USPS as it was not a large package.  Today it came straight to my house by UPS.

Oddly, it did have a return label attached to the shipping label.  It was a return for UPS only.

I scheduled a USPS pickup with that code, and it was picked up with no problem.

There's always a lot to be thankful for if you take time to look for it.
For example, I am sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt.

I never knew USPS accepted UPS labels.  Learned something new today.

Re: Post Office Refusing to Accept Return Package

I don't know that the various codes mean, but I recently tried returning a body spray to HSN, using their label.  When the post office refused to take it, they didn't give a code reason, but said it was because of what it was.  I called HSN's CS and spoke to a supervisor.  He was dumbfounded, but refunded me immediately and said to pitch the product or donate it.

Try that.

Re: Post Office Refusing to Accept Return Package

If it's a UPS return label, you need to take the package to a UPS dropoff station, not the Post Office.  USPS and UPS are two different things.

@JeanLouiseFinch   products that contain chemicals even beauty usually come in a box that either has a separate black label on it or with the P O it has a code indicating chemicals of some sort or liquid.

I don't know why the OP would assume the post office would take anything marked UPS.  I once tried to drop off a return at my local HyVee store post office desk only to be told it was a UPS label.  I felt pretty dumb that I hadn't noticed that.  It certainly wasn't their fault; it was mine.  We do not have a UPS store here in my rural America town.  Our local UPS drop off is CVS, so I took it there.  Now I check more carefully to be sure which label it is.
