Post Office Refusing to Accept Return Package

Has anybody else had this happen? I went to my post office to return a QVC package, with the return label that QVC provided, only to have the clerk tell me USPS was no longer accepting any packages with the code 569. That code was UPS and would no longer be honored by USPS, even though USPS was part of the delivery mechanism.

I contacted QVC through Chat and was told they could not issue a differnt label and to use the Q code. However, it is impossible to go back into the account once the Return is in process to get the Q code. USPS said the change had happened 3 weeks ago. I started my return after that date, so why is QVC still using the 569 code that USPS is rejecting and how do I get my package returned?

That's why I always print two copies of QVC's return label in case there's a problem.

If the code is for UPS, did you try taking it to them?

 @Stirley

UPS SurePost

this service always with UPS first....they transfer it to USPS for delivery..

the recent change (due to contract dispute) is UPS is not transfering it and just delivering it themselves.

take your package to UPS

@TheMemphisVette @Stirley   I had no idea there was a dispute with UPS and the PO but since there is aUPS store very close to me I always select QR code abd Tahoe it to the store for a return.  I just don't understand if the Q is offering the customer the choice of USPS or UPS why the Post Office is refusing the return.  I'm confused

I have noticed that all my packages from UPS have been being delivered by UPS.

Re: Post Office Refusing to Accept Return Package

The return label is the problem. It contains a code that USPS will no longer accept. Printing another one does not solve the problem. But thanks for your reply.

you obviously printed a UPS label instead of a USPS label. Just drop the package off at a UPS Location.  Your title is misleading bc it's not an issue that the PO won't accept the package, it's your fault for taking a UPS package to the local PO. the equivalent would be taking a USPS to the FED EX Drop off.

@Stirley

Just go to the nearest UPS store and drop off your package.
