Re: PRICE ADJUSTMENT RULE CHANGE UNFIAR TO CUSTOMERS

I bought a PLW denim jacket on a Q2 clearance show last week for $39.99.   This week it's on clearance for $49.99.  Pricing is all over the place and a mystery to me.

It's a great jacket at even the new "clearance" price if anyone needs one.

Re: PRICE ADJUSTMENT RULE CHANGE UNFIAR TO CUSTOMERS

I too am disgusted with QVC.  They have lost me as a customer and I have been shopping with them for 25 years.  I purchased a Joan Rivers cotton flannel tunic for $29.99 reduced from a price of $65 and change.  For a few days the price went back and forth, and I was thinking I was glad I snagged the item when I did.  TODAY the item is on a lunchtime special price of $15.99.  What QVC did was change the item numbers even though it is the exact same top: A630588 and A609803.  I was told they are both two different tops.  NO they are not.  Same colors, same style, same sizes.  So they refused to adjust the price for me.  In another case I bought two of the same top - different colors.  I ordered them both at the same time - same order number.  However, QVC shipped them separately.  I did receive them on the same day but two separate bags.  I needed to return them both and was thus forced to pay two return shipping charges of $7 EACH when they should have been one order return for $7 only.  Today I called three different customer service reps and I got the same bull***t response.  I am done with the game playing.  QVC has robbed me of enough money.

Re: PRICE ADJUSTMENT RULE CHANGE UNFIAR TO CUSTOMERS

@Bubby Mommy, if I'm not mistaken, you are incorrect about those being the same item. One is regular sizing and the other is a petite. They are different and not interchangeable. Often items in regular, tall, and petite can all have different prices based on availability. One category with more available may be discounted more...like others retailers do. Not unusual, not shady.

Also, if returning two items such as tops, they can be returned in one package and returned for the one price of shipping back the return.

The concept of price adjustments are something the few retailers that have permitted in the past are revaluing and eliminating. To my thinking, if I was okay with the price of an item when I bought it, then I shouldn't have regrets if it goes lower in price. Why look back.

@Kachina624 it sounds like the jacket was priced as "clearance sale" when you bought it last week. I think all clearance was on sale. Now it is back up to the regular clearance price.

@DJs mom.  I've only ever seen "clearance " and "final clearance" (no returns).

@Kachina624 - There's actually a category called "Clearance Sale Price" that often gets applied to clearance items during event days or special shows; the price goes up again at the end of the event/show. It makes total sense, of course, to only drop the price a couple of dollars for a few hours, right? I check my wish list every day, and there's an item there that consistently goes up or down by $1 about twice per week. That's not enough to make me give in and buy it (especially since it's an item I already have and just want another color), but it is definitely interesting to observe. And there's a sweater that goes up or down by $3 a few times per month; I'm hoping it will be a gift someday, but the price hasn't been tempting enough yet.
