@KathyM23 Yes, the US ports have issues too! Ships back up when there is no available space to offload at the US port and, even worse, when there is a "port strike". During a port/dockworkers strike, not only do the ships sit waiting to be unloaded, but the containers that have been unloaded just sit on the docks.  Then the company that "owns" the merchandise/container is charged Demmurage. (Demurrage is a fee attached to cargo that has overstayed its time at a terminal. The amount of time you must pick up your cargo without being charged varies from vendor to vendor.)

 

And as someone else mentioned, once goods are released from the port, you have to deal with transportation issues, like the lack of trucks and truck drivers, overbooked rail space for rail shipments and weather issues!

I'm beginning to think QVC sells items they do not actually have in inventory!

I have had no problems with Nordstrom or Macy's or Amazon
