Don't know how long this has been going on, because I've never paid much attention to my post count.  But I noticed last night that the number isn't changing when I add a new post to the board.  Checked back a week, and sure enough, same post count.  Am I missing something here?  Mods?

Ok, now I have to laugh.  After a least a week of 1,986 posts - number never changing - the above post is 1,987.  Weird!

ETA  That post just changed to 1,988.  I give up.

Edited again - And now it just jumped up again; must be catching up for all of those uncounted posts lol.

Nope, it really makes no difference, unless you're a 'newbie' with a low post count, in which case your every post will be dismissed (and sometimes insulted/ridiculed) for that reason alone.

SMH at that 'logic'......

I was wondering the same thing. Why does it matter? Also, the same thing with how many "hearts" one gets.
