Mods - Please have IT address this issue

Hello QVC moderators, could you please forward this issue to the group that manages the site?

If I try to answer a question on an item for another shopper on an item I have purchased, it asks to change my nickname.  I'm not interested in updating my nickname, and I'm sure others would like to help fellow shoppers with questions, but don't because if this issue.

"Your new Nickname will apply to all of your old postings, as well as your new entries, including posts on the Community Forum and Product Ratings & Reviews. Your previous QVC Community names will not be available for use by another customer, and you can change your Nickname at any time."

@CAcableGirl2

While it's a pain, if you just hit 'submit' (without changing your nic), it will sign you in with your existing nic.

OR, you can just type in your existing nic as your 'new' nic and it will sign you in.

You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Agree, this is a useless step and needs to be eliminated. Probably cuts down on the number of reviews, too.

This has been requested I don't know how many times and it never changes. I don't think the IT knows what it's doing, honestly.

@KingstonsMom   I tried to just ignore it, but you have to "submit a new name" or "cancel".  I tried getting out or not typing in a new name, and it won't let you proceed.

I haven't tried it for a review, but can't seem to answer any of the questions that are asked about a product.

This has stopped me from writing reviews, asking and answering questions as well.  QVC, please fix.

Re: Mods - Please have IT address this issue

@CAcableGirl2 - So many of us have raised this issue, but it simply isn't being fixed.  Perhaps the new CEO will make stronger I.T. support a priority.

In the meantime, if you simply type in your existing nickname (don't change anything) and hit "Continue" it will log you in.  It's a pain and you have to do it every time, but it works and you keep your current nickname.

Some say they can simply leave it blank and hit "Continue", but that doesn't work for me, so it may depend on the browser you're using.  HTH.

@Love my grandkids   I don't think competency is the issue.  They can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.  They're working with an antiquated system that can't handle a simple search.

@Kachina624 It's on them to update the out of date system.

@Love my grandkids    One of these days the whole thing is going to crash.  They will then come to your realization.  Ludicrous they should ignore it when the whole operation is dependent on it running efficiently.  Costs big $$$.
