Re: Moderators, what is going on?

Wow.   Glitches do happen, systems fail.  To call David a fibber. Just Wow.

You put 10 in your cart to what purpose?

To show their on line inventory shows they are in stock.  I didn't order them, just wanted to see if their inventory was showing there are several in stock.  Which it does.  Just goes to prove when hosts like David interrupt to say how many are left, he's fibbing.  He has no real idea.  Just trying to push customers to purchase now, a slimy selling tactic.

@Lila4Now. David says what the producer in his ear tells him to say. So much easier to shop someplace else. If I was this unhappy and upset, that's what I would do.

For the most part, I do shop from other sites.  QVC's shipping is just way too high.  I was able to order this item on a One Day Only Price, and was able to get free shipping.  Oh, and I'm not upset, just want answers to my questions.  If I was upset, you would know. As far as what David says, no matter where he's getting his information, I've proved they really don't know how many they have left.  That's just a selling tactic that David makes the choice to use.  He's creating a false sense of urgency.

Actually that's all I'm saying. If your employer gave you instructions and you ignored them, what would happen? You're saying David should not do as told? That's all I have to say. Carry on.

Excuse me, many times he has to ask them how many are left.  That is David's selling style.  He offers it without being told.  I would suggest you are the one that needs to carry on.  Have a wonderful evening

I am. No worries here.

Exactly!

QVC has thousands and thousands of different items for sale.  Multiply that times the quanity of each item that is in inventory.

You are talking about MILLIONS of items in the warehouses.

There is no system on the planet that will be exact.  There will always be a plus or minus calculation for inventory error.

Keeping track of this large of an inventory is going to involve errors.

I have placed items in my cart only to find when I try to complete the check out...that the item is actually sold out or now on waitlist.  It showed stock when I put it in my cart, but that has changed.

I would expect even if the order did go through, it might possibly change to backorder.

Sometimes posts just come across so nasty...even when they might not be meant that way.  I would not be demanding the mods give me the answers I want to hear.

I would nicely ask them to check into it for me.

I wasn't being nasty, just stated the facts.  Product went thought the same exact thing this morning, was in process and now back on waitlist.  Yet, I'm still able to do a test and put 10 in my cart, as a test to see if inventory is there.  It's obvious there is no way for them to keep track of what their inventory is.  I still say if David, or any host, states how many are left they and the person talking in their ear are picking numbers from the air.  They have no real idea, it's a selling tactic to create a false sense of urgency.  Those are what I see as facts.  This is not the first time this has happened for me.  If the moderators are that sensitive, they are in the wrong job.

Re: Moderators, what is going on?

Perhaps it is not easy to keep an accurate count of their inventory due to such variables such as folks putting multiple items in their carts and removing them.

I don't think having them in my cart for less than one minute messes with the inventory, especially since they don't seem to have the ability to keep track of it for others as well.
