Several years ago I had a batch of bad batteries and they leaked acid which ruined the bottom plates.  I looked up the luminara website and found a phone number to call.  The woman on the phone was extremely kind.  She asked what size batteries the candles took and sent me replacement bottoms. 

 

I have done this twice.  The candles are too expensive to not be able to use when all I needed were the bottom pieces.  Good luck.
