Why is your LaserShip Carrier permitted to drop packages in a common area such as Lobby of a condominium complex instead of delivering to the door of person package is shipped to?  Today I had a package delivered and this is what happened.  Carrier called me from entrace to building said I had a package and I said fine, I will buzz you in.  Kept waiting for carrier/delivery person to come to my door and never showed up.  Went downstairs to see where he was and found that he just dropped the package in the unsecured common area and left.  Immediately called customer service and reported the issue and informed that if this is the way Q was going to have packages delivered that I would have to discontinue doing business with Q.  Customer Rep said that she would log the problem.  I now see Q has shipped the Dyson Fan TSV via LaserShip, does this mean that an expensive item like this will just be dropped in an unsecure common area of a condominium complex?  Why doesn't Q require a signature when shipping via LaserShip?

Hate Lasership, they don't update their tracking system until they are about to drop the package and the package is usually thrown across the porch. It's the fastest way to keep me from shopping  on QVC. I'm turning my sites to other channels with better delivery systems.

Totally agree with you. That is why I told Customer Service I would have to stop doing business with Q if they continue to use such an awful carrier.

@Kindaglitzy  I am sorry to hear the delivery was handled this way. I am glad that you have reported this to our Customer Service so it will definitley be directed to the appropiate department. This is only my take but  I would guess that the carrier felt that the inside building was a secure dropoff because he was buzzed in by the recipient.

I wondered who the last two deliveries were that arrived in a nondescript white van.  Checked my order status and it is LaserShip.  I have had good luck.  Right to my door, just like UPS does.  Very pleasant guy.

LaserShip is the WORST!    I have had numerous packages from Amazon delivered by LaserShip.  My DH and I are at work during the day.  I am afraid that if packages are left in the front they might be stolen.  I have a sign on my door stating that if no one is home to leave the packages in the back.  Every other carrier honors our wishes..... except LaserShip,  They ALWAYS leave the packages in the front.  Also IF they happen to deliver when either DH or I are home ..... they don't even bother to ring the door bell.  They just leave the package in the front.  I have complained to Amazon on a number of occasions.....  Finally they agreed to try to avoid using LaserShip to deliver our orders.

This is not uncommon.  I live in a condominiu complex, and all regular carriers leav packages in our lobby by our mailboxes (UPS, FedEx, USPS).  The only time packages get delivered to our door is when we received packages in the evening or on Sunday from Amazon (we getsame-day deliveries, seven days a week now).

I think you are making a moutain out of a mole hill.  If the package had been stolen, I am sure QVC would have handled it appropriately.

And please, don;t complain about having to go down to get the package.  As a disabled person with one leg, if I can go down to get my packages, I am sure most others can as well.

Try googling Lasership and read the reviews about them on Amazon. Why is QVC using them?

My package was delivered yesterday.  Luckily I heard a noise and looked out the window.  I saw a white van parked on the street and went outside.  He had dropped the package at front door and was leaving.  If I had not heard the noise, it would have been left outside all night, possibly wet after all the rain & maybe even stolen by morning.   At least knock on the door before leaving !!!

I never heard of laser ship until I read this thread, so I looked it up.  What an outrage...so Mr.KingAmazon, national leader of socialist big government is fostering 19th century treatment of workers!  Wow
