Re: Jewelry Return Stolen!

[ Edited ]

Definitely sounds a like problem in the receiving department. What a sad shame.

It might be worth trying to contact UPS directly and ask if they can check tracking or any notes on the shipment. Sometimes things get lost or mixed up, and even though it’s a hassle, they might have more insight into what happened during transit. Also, keep a close eye on your credit card company to make sure they assist you if you go down the dispute route. It’s tough, but you’ve been a loyal customer, so they might reconsider when you explain the situation fully.

Why should "loyal shopper " get different consideration in this instance? This is a return shipping issue, not a purchasing issue.

If you used QVC's  return label, they need to look into it.  It states on the instructions no need to insure it.

Sorry to hear about your UPS problem  If it makes you feel any better, I ordered a pair of recovery sandels and they were shipped by UPS.  I never received them either, the picture that was taken by the UPS driver was NOT my house.  This is the second time this has happened.  Yesterday I received a UPS delivery at the end of my driveway that was not mine nor did I know who it was for.  When I called UPS I was asked to bring it to them. Explained to UPS they needed to pick it up since I left it exactlu where the driver left it.

UPS won't follow upon lost items.  I bought my daughter a purse but never received it. on tracking it said it was delivered but there was no photo. Daughter went to ups they said the person couldnt find her house so they just delivered it to another house and didnot have an address they were not interested in following up with the delivery person. I contacted QVC and told them what had happened and they refunded me my money.

I agree, and who knows where the theft, it that's what it was, occurred. It might have been in shipping, at ether end, or it might have been in recieving, also at either end. I've received an empty box a time or two over the years and always felt the loss could have happened in several places, including with the shipper or with the packer, among other places along the way.

@brightblonde. I am sorry you have not been compensated. I thought that is why the Labels are insured and states so in writing. unless you use your own then not unless you insure!  I sent back a ring to HSN that the stone,  a large blue topaz was not set securely and fell out so the mounting only was returned. It was  20 years ago, but no  problem.

I have twice received an empty box and Q again refunded my money. One was a pillow and one a sweater.  The box the pillow was in was smashed  to bits, like stuck in a conveyer belt, so likely that was damage but no item. It was still delivered?

I would talk to someone else as results are often who one happens to get to speak with in CS. Go to a Supervisor, if necessary. I hope you get this resolved! GOOD LUCK!

I hope my CC dispute will help.  Or I'm stuck paying $1,000 for a ring I don't have 😢😡

@brightblonde  Did you put your ring box in a taped package or did you just hand a QVC label with the ring box in no package? I don't recall reading this information. If I paid that much for a ring, I would have added my own insurance just for reassurance.

I think this is going to be a problem with your credit card company because they will contact QVC. I would go back to the UPS office and tell them what happened if you just handed them a taped ring box with a label. I would have bought a package to put it in before I handed it over or maybe you did. This is going to be a challenge.

You can always file a complaint with the BBB. It is another option but no guarantee. If you had taken a picture with the ring in the box, it would be resolved quickly. It sounds like a he/she said situation. Wishing you luck.
