This only true if USPS delivers to your house.

Many more rural houses are REQUIRED to drive to the post office where they are given a box.  No delivery.

Best to qualify the statement please.

@goldensrbest.  Go to the USPS website.  On the main page is an option for a postal pick up.  Click and complete the short form.  Leave your package by your door or in your mailbox on the day you select.  They'll email you a receipt.
