Information given, during presentations, incorrect!

Hi.  Can someone do a better job of checking to make sure the information that is being given out during product presentations is true and correct? Twice, in the last day, I have watched while misleading information was given!

Example #1. The portable generator.  Several people replied in the reviews that people with cpap machines should not use this generator and it even states so in the instructions! This is a matter of life or death!

Example #2. i almost ordered a Southwest Jewelry necklace today because the presentor stated the enchancers could be used on it.  Wrong again! Once I read the reviews, several people stated that, "no you cannot use enhancers".  I am glad I found that out and was able to cancel my order, as I had a couple of enhancers I planned to use with it.

@Tuffcookie.  I find you must take what's written on reviews with a huge grain 9f salt.  Those are opinions written by people who are often ignorant of the topic on which they speak.  I read some ridiculous statements in reviews.

I'd like to know about the American West enhancer.

Re: Information given, during presentations, incorrect!

They are not always clear. I think they take the easiest path to sell. I saw that with the Dyson hair styler. They did the demonstration over and over. The rep kept doing her own hair. The host as well.  They had someone in the chair with a hairstylist getting done as well.

It all looked effortless. Until a caller called in telling them she wasn’t getting the result they show or promise.

Now it gets interesting. They tell her hair has to be 80% dry. . She is confused, she doesn’t know what that means. When is it 80% dry? Shawn says don’t get lost in the numbers. It has to just be damp, and not dripping.

You have to hold it so it takes the curl while damp then blast with cool air etc.………

Not so simple after all.  They need to change the presentation and make it clear.

I would trust the reviews of those who actually bought the product way more than anything the hosts are paid to say.  Of course it's going to be "easy" to use and get "great" results.  What do people who actually paid to get the product have to say??  I ALWAYS check the reviews before purchasing any product.

Reviews are subjective and not objective, so I never rely on them unless there are many saying the same thing...especially here at QVC.  As a matter of fact, if the OP means the same necklace I bought last night during the 1am eastern show, the 2 reviews saying enhancers don't fit are from the same person.  There is also another review right below it saying the new, smaller enhancers don't fit, the others do.  I bought the rhodochrosite and can't wait to get it.

It would be useful to have item numbers so we can see what is going on.

I do know that for home oxygen there are specifics for a backup generator.  It would be interesting how underpowered the QVC item might be.

As to enhancers, they vary so much in size.....

@Tuffcookie - If you're referring to the necklace that is item J432434, you will be able to use an enhancer as long as the bail opens wide enough to fit over an 8mm bead, which is the smallest size on that graduated necklace. Every enhancer is different, so that's probably why some people find that their enhancers fit and others don't. It is important to listen to the presentations and check the item details—if you were already reading reviews, the information is right there on the same page.

Yes, sorry, it is J432434.  Mary Beth has it on with an enhancer right now which she just put on it.  The 2 reviews from the same person left out the size detail, or didn't realize it.  Either way, that's why I don't go by reviews unless there are many, many, many saying the same thing.

@loriqvc - Do you mean an 8mm bead?  I don't think any of us have necklaces with 8" beads.  But I could be wrong!  Woman Wink

@Venezia - Yes, that's what I meant. Corrected. Thanks.
