Re: Incorrect word choice in e-mail, so grammatically incorrect. Hire an editor.

Rather than posting a lengthy reply about the important roles of usage and context in a comprehensive evaluation of grammatical correctness, I will simply refer the OP to her own subject line and remind her of the adage, "Physician, heal thyself."

Someone has waaaaaay too much time on her hands. Perhaps she is a Jeopardy contestant? A linguistic professer? Just a complainer?
The  jar is half empty, nothing is right with the world. I could go on and on.

Re: Incorrect word choice in e-mail, so grammatically incorrect. Hire an editor.

E-mails can be written in formal and/or informal style. QVC uses both styles. There is no right or wrong.QVC  E-mail target audience is us, customers, not the academic world where your research/paper is scrutinized. I find your rethorical analysis should reach the appropriate audience, not us, normal/regular QVC customers who enjoy browsing and shopping and focus less on details of what is gramatically correct. Thank you.

By the way, I do have academic background (Ph.D.) and had published some papers in academia.

Good luck!
