I sent package to wrong address

And after I submitted order realized it was wrong. Called Qvc and was told it was too far in process to change street address to contact Ups once shipped and change it there. 7 days later it was shipped. Now I'm able to contact  UPS  and they can not change my wrong street address because qvc has a block on their account and can't make any changes. Called qvc and was told that is not true and they can not change the address either. I guess this is just a heads up to whom ever cares at qvc that this process could of been avoided if you just changed my mistyped wrong street address even if it was in process. You had 7 days. And please contact ups and get your change block off so we can just do it ourselves if we/anyone makes the mistake again. thanks

You have yourself to blame for the error.  CS are not magicians.  There is only so much they can update or change after a certain point.

Re: I sent package to wrong address

I agree with @rms1954.  How can they prove that you are who you say you are.  You could be someone trying to get a package re-routed to another address so you can steal it.  I always check the address I type when sending to someone not on my ship-to addresses.  I'm sorry this happened to you though and hope the recipient finally gets the item.

Sure I do, but I don't put the blame on not being able to fix something that I did and then expect them to fix it when it's too far along in the process.

@Akmadwomen2 the only way this process could have been avoided is if you hadn't typed the wrong address. We all make mistakes, but to put the blame on QVC is wrong. You have to eat this one.

Re: I sent package to wrong address

I totally agree! It is my fault. I take blame and responsibility. I entered 2 digits wrong to Hawaii address. I did not mean to sound like I was placing blame. My bad for that. I stated it took 7 days to ship- which I have no problem with at all. I was hoping that maybe they can look into why they could not change the 2 digest in the address during that time or ask the vendor to/temptations. I did call qvc maybe a hour after I placed order and could not cancel to reorder or change address when I thought I'd have time. Oh well. My mistake for hoping and assuming.  But actually I was hoping to give someone at QVC and anyone else who happens to make my same mistake a heads up that when they tell others to go to ups my choice and change street address at their site -once item ships from them- that UPS can not do it because qvc has a block on there acct. they are apparently the only ones who can call them and change the address that's all my intentions were meant to be -and also maybe help another customer not make the same mistake as me.
