It's been happening more frequently this month, someone posts a topic about oranges and then another poster inserts apples that has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with the topic at all.
A thread that had to do with a mystery was in my opinion deliberately derailed into an entirely different subject matter. This is a game to some people and they don't care at all, just as long as they get their not so subtle agenda across and then voila, the thread is poofed or closed! ![]()

I haven't seen the moderators being so aggressive about this until recently. They are also removing posts without the usual explanation. They just competely delete the post or sometimes posts so they vanish into thin air. I have never seen that after the new changes until now. They allow a clearly disturbed person to run rough shod over anyone who disagrees with her most of the time. To be honest JaneM, I'm not sure what is going on and why the changes. It could be anything, but maybe they have noticed multiple nics are running amok. idk There are definitely some games being played on these forums. It's probably the same person/s from years ago.

I noticed that, @JaneMarple. I understand the moderators have many threads and posts to review, in addition to all the other duties. Even so, I wish when this happens they would remove the off-topic posts (and any replying to them) and allow the thread to continue. Rather than reply... that would be a great time to ignore the comment(s), report the post and describe the problem.

I seem to have a fan club and I've noticed that some of you do too, it's childish.

Sad, but true.

why not pass the comments you don't like and continue the topic, responding to whoever is doing this just feeds them. Ignore it
this board really needs an "ignore member" feature

I saw that thread, and the obvious way it was intentionally (IMO) derailed. The moderators' hands are tied in those situations, but I hope they are at least looking at the trend for those and other posters' behavior when things like this happen.
That was a ridiculous, mean-spirited, closed-minded and obvious agenda-riddled tactic that only served the purpose to once again show the ugliness that can infect these threads sometimes. Those posts were not clever in the least.

It's done all the time to Johnnysbro because of Lisa Robertson haters.
If you talk about certain hosts it's gone in a second but you can say Leah looks awful and it stays forever.
No religious or politics but it depends...........

There's a poster with a BBC nic trying to derail the thread on "how do you feel about posting signs" calling it silly in at least three posts, actually saying everyone needs more things to do-- and keeps posting to get others riled up like saying "if you're lost?"in numerous posts to get it off topic or the thread derailed. Why isn't the Q banning this poster, at least limiting her posts per thread? So far most have learned from past experience to ignore her, but she's constantly doing this & many would like her stopped please.
