For a number of reasons I have not been on any forums or blogs for a very long time. I have just recently begun to do some ordering from here again. And of course as soon as I order a few items, within hours the FREE SHIPPING comes up. What is the policy on how much time can pass before it is honored? Sure gets frustrating to have almost $40 shipping I racked up right before the free day comes up. Also, the live chat used to be so easy to get someone to chat with you. Now, it says something about the size or whatever of my question in the chat section. More reasons just lately why I quit buying from you and now here are the same things that caused me to leave in the first place.

@nomar

Although it can be frustrating to miss out on free shipping within a day or even hours. However, I have not found any online businesses that will go back the following day and reimburse your shipping.

Since you say you haven't shopped with QVC in awhile there are more frequent free shipping days than there was in the past. On average I would say one a month. If you can, wait a couple weeks and you may luck out.

Thank you for the heads up. I know how high postal rates are nowadays and I guess QVC's shipping cost are a bargin but sure gets in the pocket book fast when ordering several items. I will keep that in mind on more free shipping days offered.

I had to pull away from so much shopping and also from getting on the forums. While I loved both, it was time to stop so much buying and more importantly, I was sitting at the computer way too much reading all the topics from everyone. My favorites were recipes and home, but it was robbing me of too much time. Loved it, however.

@nomar That happens to me all the time.  I recently ordered a pair of Clarks shoes.  Two days later it was free shipping and the shoes were still available at the same price.  So I ordered them again and cancelled the first order.  Well I got the "attempting to cancel" song and dance.  Long story short, I ended up with two pairs because once the first pair shipped, I tried to cancel the second order, and got the "attempting to cancel" response on that one.  And cancelling that second order was within hours.  Here's a thought QVC -- DON'T HAVE A CANCEL ITEM BUTTON IF YOU CANNOT CANCEL THE ORDER.  As it turns out, I don't even like the shoes and am sending both pairs back.  I am about done with all this nonsense.

As stated, the free shipping days are more frequent lately.  They usually are on Saturdays.  Since the last one was last Saturday it will probably be at least next month until the next.  Sometimes they have a "flash" free shipping during one show, or free shipping on specific categories (like beauty items or electronics).

So you just have to keep an eye out.

There is no leniency on previously bought items for free shipping periods. The purchase must hav3 been made during the specified time period.

Sadly, i think you'll find QVC changed for the worse.

I only order when there is free shipping which, as someone pointed out, has become more frequent.  If you have to have something immediately or are afraid the item will sell out, then I would guess paying the shipping is worth it.

When I saw the free shipping I tried to stop the last item I ordered and of course it was already in "being prepared."  This was within a few hours of announcing free shipping. I guess to stop from having too many buyer remorse orders they get the order going FAST. The 24 hour cancellation privilages or even more time,  must be only on vhehicles, real estate, etc. Would be nice if QVC would allow a little more time before they jump the gun and start processing. If they value their customers they would do at least a 12 hour time frame or such. Sometimes you have to research an item or check sizing on clothing. That "speed buying" button is a trap for me. Will not do anymore impulse buying. Again like I did before, I may be limiting my time and money with the "Q."

My fault I have an issue with buttons, not theirs. But seems they could do better for the customer.

Are you hired to improve the image of QVC?  The QVC I knew does not exist anymore.  Charging shipping and handling for each item, even when ordering the same either several or different colors, is a rip off.  No other company does that.  Never had returns but now the inconsistent sizes are unreliable and I had to return several items.  Had to call to get my money back even after receiving an email that they received my returns.  then waited another week to see the credits.  Of course not nearly what I paid.  Quality has gone downhill so even with free shipping I probably will not order anymore.  I question why anybody still orders from QVC.  Free shipping should be the norm considering the high prices and low quality at QVC these days.
