Forum sign-in page still needs correcting re Hide/Show

Dear Moderators,

@Beth-QVC or anyone reading,

The sign-in page for the forums still is showing "Hide" when it should be showing "Show."

In other words, the sign-in page has not yet been corrected to actually hide the password as it is physically being typed in by the user.

Please make it match the sign-in page for the Accounts/Orders page.

Thank you!!

Yes, this really makes me nervous....don't like it at all. Especially, when I have placed recent orders.

           This is happening on some devices, browsers, software versions, and not on others.    The IT department needs to adjust the code so that it doesn't happen on any of them.   It's another example of messy code.

What's oddest, @dooBdoo, is that the Accounts/Orders sign-in is perfectly fine.

Would the same code be used for that purpose?

Why doesn’t the IT team keep track of their own problems?

The same unresolved issues are reported to them over and over and over again.  How many times do they need to hear about it?

            Hi, @GingerPeach!    I tried it out today, and this problem (automatically displaying my password as I type it) shows up on both my Community login and my QVC shopping site login with my iPad.   It isn't happening on my iMac or iPhone, meaning I can login on either of those and the password field defaults to hiding (and, thus, the word "Show" is displayed to the right of the password).

            So, again, we see that not all customers/devices/software are having the same experience.  (sigh)  Normally I would expect the same code to be used in both areas, but I've pretty well given up thinking QVC will invest in upgrading this website.    Again, we see the results of messy code and total disinterest by the powers-that-be to attend to it.

Thank you, @dooBdoo

I'm so glad you have the means to delve deeper into these issues.

Fingers crossed someone is given the green light to make the upgrades.
