Ordered 3 sets of 2 each Cheerful Giver Candy Cane candles.  Receiived box of 6 candles - no problem.

 

Then ordered 3 sets of 2 each Cheerful Giver Tinseltown candles.  Received a box of 2 candles - with an invoice that said - box 1 of 1 containing 3 sets.  Um no.

 

Contacted customer service - no problem - will send replacement 2 sets.

 

Received box of 2 - with invoice that said - box 1 of 1 containing  2 sets.  What's worse - glass is broken so candles are unusable.

 

Contacted customer service - said this time I want a refund for the 4 I paid for and did not receive.

 

Oh now they are not sure what should be done.  Must send this to a higher authority and "someone" will contact me to let me know the "decision."  - But definitely don't send back the broken glass candles.

 

It seems that I either should get a refund or 4 useable candles for which I have already been charged.

 

What, exactly is the big issue here?  Can someone help me please?

I'm sure you will get this resolved.   It is certainly frustrating when these things happen and there is really no reason for it, good luck!  I hope you love your candles.

@LindaSal   The candles are all gifts - which is why the broken glass renders them unusable.

 

I did get a response that a refund has been "requested" and apparently someone will let me know if it is "approved" - which is what I had already been told.  Again, I'm not sure why this is difficult.

Sorry that mess happened to you - I'm still waiting for my set of 2 Balsam Fir Papa candles that I ordered on 10/21. The order history shows as shipped on 10/30, but when you click on the tracking it always shows as "awaiting carrier pickup". (BTW The items I ordered from Valerie were shipped ASAP and I was happy and hoping the same fast shipping for these, even though from a different vendor, but no. Guess I'll need to check with the Social Team too.)

 

I hope when these candles eventually show up they'll be in one piece, but latest reviews are either smell "great" or "no throw" so who knows if I'll even like 'em lol! Woman Wink

@Happy2BHere I ordered a set of the Balsam candles for myself (all the others are gifts) and while I haven't burned them yet, the smell is wonderful.  Looking forward to using them.

Yeah, I can't imagine what the issue would be. You paid for 6 and received 2 functional ones. Either send 4 more or refund your money, not difficult! Woman Frustrated

 

I bought 6 yesterday too, 4 as gifts and 2 for me. I hope I don't have your issues!

@GingerHeadYes I am still waiting for someone to "reach out" to me with the decision.

 

The first group of six - Candy Cane all arrived in one big box and were fine.  Hope that's the way yours are shipped.

I've never had to wait for a refund for something broken.  They've refunded right away.

I don't understand the Cheerful Giver brand.  I've always ordered Harry Slatkin candles and I've loved them.  A while back Carolyn G recommended the Cheerful Giver so I tried the balsam, no real likable scent.  This year I ordered the Candy Cane.... I kept checking for it to ship.  After 2 weeks I called QVC and I was told on day 15 they could send out a replacement.  Well the lost and new set came on the same day.  There's something up with the shipping from this brand.  On a positive note neither set were broken.  They used lots of bubble wrap.
