I have received many products (not just from QVC) lately without an outer box, just shipped in the product box, like you would find on a brick and mortar store shelf.

I don't like it, especially when shipping heavy objects which tend to get dents and tears in the box.

I have real issues with expensive countertop appliances being shipped in retail pkg  First off the retail package is not reinforced for shipping abuse.  Also the USPS is hiring contract trucking firms where pkgs can be easily be taken by a worker  relying on a lost claim. UPS has also started this practice, particularly near their Distribution Centers. Example.  i ordered GreenPan Carb reducing rice cooker.  It was shipped in outer ship box but unfortunately was defective out of the box.  Contacted Customer service and they replaced the unit.  I traced via my corporate UPS accouint and saw that it sailed through from Canadian origin.  Once it hit the Memphis Dist Center it was scanned in, but never seen again.  Finally at two weeks QVC sent another replacement for the defective unit. it was still showing scanned in but nothing since.  I had contacted UPS and requested a "cage search".  That search goes through bins where illegible labels cannot be read by sort machines or actually fell off a belt.  The pkgs are placed in big metal cages and sorkers sort through the problems and attempt to correct.  But the cage search I requested turned up blank.  They couldn't  find it.  My suspision is someone lifted the pkg for personal use. at the point the contract trucking company unlads at dock...Pkgs are scanned into Dist Ctr when these trucks are loaded not wneh unloaded.  Pkgs just dont vanish.  I'm convinced if expensive products were shipped in plain brown boxes, we wouldn't see so many "list" pkgs.  it happens with all carriers. I also have issues with the company QVC contracts for its fulfillment processes.  I've expereienced delayed pkgs because labels were illegible and returned to QVC.  Workers are not prompt in getting tose pkgs in/out and on the way to customers.
