Disappearing 9 Month Financing

I was going to purchase the Patricia Nash Milano Weekender using the 9 months financing, which was offered on the product page and is still offered as an option in my shopping cart.

I took my time with checkout. I was trying to decide on a color, and also shoppng the Isaac show. During the checkout process 9 months was not offered, so I called Customer Service. By then, although it was still listed in my shopping cart as an option, it was not on the product page.

Customer Service was very nice, but said nothing could be done since Synchrony Bank was involved. The thing is - QVC controls the website, and I KNOW that it was offered. If 9 months is offered for part of the day, it should be available the ENTIRE day. The PRICE did not change, btw.

Did I just take too long to check out?  I wonder whether or not this happened to anyone else. Yesterday there was a problem concerning a security code on my credit card (that was a QVC issue). I have never had so many problems until lately, and I have been a customer for over 20 years. I am losing my patience.

Re: Disappearing 9 Month Financing

@Southern Sarah I still see the 9 month financing WITH  the Qcard for the Nash bags. Perhaps restart your computer and try again?

BTW, many items are only offered at a discounted price for the hour or so of the show. They are not at the special price all day, necessarily. However, I do see the 9 month financing ends on 12/31.

Re: Disappearing 9 Month Financing

Thanks, cjm61. I was using the Qcard.

Customer Service told me that 9 months financing was not available on the item. It does still state that 9 months is available in my shopping cart, but it has disappeared on the product page.

Again, thanks for trying to help.

Re: Disappearing 9 Month Financing

Did you call Synchrony bank and ask them about this?  You want to blame QVC but the Q Card is not controlled by QVC.  No one has a QVC credit card becaude there is no such thing.  I would call Synchrony cs because it's possible it's a glitch on their end.

Re: Disappearing 9 Month Financing

I use PayPal.  They always offer 6 months no interest financing and easy pay options if you prefer that on everything.

I hate dealing with CC companies. I have dropped all my store cards and only kept my Master and VISA cards.

QVC makes it a pain to use PayPAL You should just go to their regular checkout page to choose PAYPAL there..  If you try to choose it before you get to the last payment page...it will give you issues.

Re: Disappearing 9 Month Financing

Sorry, chrystaltree, but Customer Service agreed that the website (where it was listed as an option) is controlled by QVC.

I have never had a problem with Synchrony, and I do have other cards through them.

It was a QVC issue, just as my BOA card issue over the weekend was. As I mentioned in my original post, I have been a loyal (and quite active) QVC customer for over 20 years. In the last 2 months I have had more issues than in the previous 20 combined. AND, I AM NOT EXAGGERATING.

Not sure what browser you're using but anytime I don't use Safari or Chrome I have issues checking out.

Re: Disappearing 9 Month Financin

Thanks, Tori3569, I am using safari. Customer Service could not see that it was ever offered at 9 months same as cash. I think that this may be the "straw" for me. I have had a lot of issues lately.

Thanks again for your response.

Re: Disappearing 9 Month Financin

I have never seen extended financing offered for such a relatively low purchase price.  It's always reserved for the highest price items like high end gold and diamond jewelry, mattresses, fancy recliners, etc.  I would have questioned it immediately and been suspicious of a mistake.

Re: Disappearing 9 Month Financing

Two months ago I purchased an expensive Patricia Nash leather bag to use as a computer bag and it was offered with  9 mo option. I take the easy pay option until I get my item and make sure I want to keep it, then I pay it off.  I don't tie up more than one payment, use their money and am not charged interest. (kept the bag)

I paid full price because I have been looking for awhile and finally bought it.  I just looked at it and it is now only offers 3 month option.

Looks like the bank, not QVC is making some changes.  First changing the interest rate to an outlandish amount and now messing with easy pay hoping customers who use it miss a payment or are late. Synchrony is the worst bank I have ever dealt with and no longer use my Q card.
