Placed a order for 2 items on 11/28 at 7:30am, decided didn't need those 2 items. Cancelled them on 11/28 at 3:35pm same day. Received cancellation notice from CS cancelling both item within minutes of cancellation.
QVC then proceeds to process the order 72hrs later. Talked CS, said they couldn't cancel my order. I need to wait for delivery then return it for a refund. Well the FTC says once you cancel your order, your are not obligated to return or pay for said items. They charged my CC yesterday. This has made me, think of how many customers that have followed QVC's own rules on cancellations, that they have done this too. This was done on purpose.
It's bad business and definitely not good customer service. This where I draw the line with shopping with QVC anymore.

Just happened to me. An Advanced Order cancelled last August suddenly appeared in processing yesterday. Shows it was cancelled in Order Status. CS tried cancelling it with no luck, so he told me to return it. Grrrr!

You waited too long to cancel your order. There's a very short window of time, maybe a couple hours at most, when you are able to successfully cancel your order. They will usually let you return the items with no return shipping charges but I wouldn't try not paying for them. Best to be absolutely sure of your choice before you pull the trigger....and it's not done on purpose, its the way their computers work.

I made the mistake of ordering items I decided I didn't need too,, canceled promptly & they shipped...I got an letter from Q apologizing for their shipping mistake & I simply returned the items for a full refund. No big deal.

@ButterFlyGirl- I don't believe the FTC states that you are not required to return the item you ordered. QVC will not charge you return or original shipping, if you notify them of the issue.

If you have been sent something you did not order, you are under no obligation to return or pay for it. That is not the case here. If you have different information, please post it, citing the specific FTC language.

Mistakes happen, especially when items are shipped directly from the vendor. QVC will sort the issue for you, if you contact them.

For as long as I can remember, QVC has always made it difficult to cancel an order once it's placed. Having said that, if you received a cancellation notice from CS indicating it was successfully cancelled, then it should not be shipped.
I don't believe it's intentional, but QVC is a huge company to have their tech and computer platform be inadequate/insufficient to handle cancellations properly. Other companies such as Amazan have a much better way of handling cancellations.
If QVC wants to play with the big boys, it had better up the anty in their tech/computer areas, not only for cancellations but in many other areas as well.

I've also cancelled Amazon orders that have shipped. There's always a lag with the computers in these cases. Comparing QVC with Amazon is like comparing apples with donkeys.....two different things.

@Kachina624I agree...every company has some computer lag with cancellations and mishaps with accidental shipping after cancellation, but QVC, in my opinion, is the worst.
QVC sells globally, they could be and should be better at it!
