CS, WHY NO AFRICAN AMERICAN CABBAGE PATCH DOLLS?

JUST SAW THE VENDOR SELLING CABBAGE PATCH DOLLS AND NOT ONE WAS AFRICAN AMERICAN, ONLY WHITE DOLLS. DID THEY ALREADY SELL OUT OF AFRICAN AMERICAN DOLLS? WHAT GIVES QVC ? I BOUGHT MY DAUGHTER A CABBAGE PATCH DOLL BACK IN THE EIGHTIES AND IT WAS AFRICAN AMERICAN SO I KNOW THEY WERE MADE. YOU WILL PROBABLE SPOOF MY QUESTION BUT I THINK IT'S UNFAIR FOR QVC TO ALLOW THIS.

@Goodie2shoes  why would cs know this?  i don't think that they have zero to do with what is presented.

evidentley the AA dolls are still available. looks like target sells them.  seems like the PTB would offer a range of the dolls.

I wouldn't swear to it, but I am pretty sure I've seen AA dolls from the Cabbage Patch on QVC in the past. I don't think I have ever seen any dolls that look Oriental however; no Hispanic either. And how about Native American?

I had no idea cabbage patch dolls of any kind were still around.  I guess I need to get out more.

CS,  THANKS FOR YOUR POSITIVE RESPONSE AND I APPRECIATE YOUR PLAN TO FORWARD MY COMMENT. i THINK THERE SHOULD BE DOLLS FOR EVERY ETHNICITY INCLUDING ORIENTAL, NATIVE AMERICAN, ETC. MAYBE THAT'S SOMETHING THE CABBAGE PATCH COMPANY SHOULD LOOK INTO. I HAVE NO NEED TO BUY A CABBAGE PATCH DOLL SO I WILL NOT BE CHECKING WITH TARGET OR OTHER STORES LISTED BY ANOTHER  COMMENTOR i JUST FELT QVC SHOULD MAKE SURE EVERYONE IS REPRESENTED BECAUSE PEOPLE OF ALL ETHNICITIES SHOP ON QVC.

@Goodie2shoes:  QVC did offer African American and Native American cabbage patch dolls not long ago. I saw the presentation. Perhaps they have all sold out.

Re: CS, WHY NO AFRICAN AMERICAN CABBAGE PATCH DOLLS?

@Goodie2shoes Couple years ( when they sold dolls)back I sent a email to corporate about the same issue.   I was looking online at their dolls,(for a gift) there were only l A/A and 1 Hispanic dolls online. They replied with a  standard corporate letter. Nothing changed. Any one interested in buying dolls for gifts try eBay for cabbage patch or ethic dolls. Also ToyShoppe.

As a young child in the early sixities black dolls were few and in-between.Even as a child,I wondered why there was no dolls that look like me. Some of the black dolls in earlier days(to me) were disgustingly ugly.

I was a doll collector for many years, from Annette Himstedt, Faye Spanos, etc. The artistic ability of these two fine artists are outstanding.

Things has changed, there are more dolls with different ethnicity's.QVC or other shopping channels have not catch up.In others words, the buyers or just a corporate does not see this as an issue.
