@Goodie2shoes Couple years ( when they sold dolls)back I sent a email to corporate about the same issue. I was looking online at their dolls,(for a gift) there were only l A/A and 1 Hispanic dolls online. They replied with a standard corporate letter. Nothing changed. Any one interested in buying dolls for gifts try eBay for cabbage patch or ethic dolls. Also ToyShoppe.
As a young child in the early sixities black dolls were few and in-between.Even as a child,I wondered why there was no dolls that look like me. Some of the black dolls in earlier days(to me) were disgustingly ugly.
I was a doll collector for many years, from Annette Himstedt, Faye Spanos, etc. The artistic ability of these two fine artists are outstanding.
Things has changed, there are more dolls with different ethnicity's.QVC or other shopping channels have not catch up.In others words, the buyers or just a corporate does not see this as an issue.
