Bye, Novagirl.  Some people are willing to pay more, but not too much more, for the convenience of buying online and home delivery.  Others, not so much.

I don't shop in stores.  Not enough stores around us.  And not good variety even what is still open.  But I will say I hunt the Internet for sales and for free shipping to me.  If I need to send anything back, believe me there is a reason and I do get free shipping back.

I am basically an Amazon shopper and what I cannot get there I look at Blair (and famlly) plus I walk into Costco or Walmart.

I am not suffering and I am stock full of really nice things that don't break the bank nor a shipping budget.

@3suwm5.  I have had the same problem with Clark's ( a favorite of mine for years) and other shoe manufacturers on QVC and other shopping sites.   The soles on identical shoes do not wear the same, the arch support in identical shoes do not feel the same.  This can be said of the size of any product sold by any merchant.  Items are mass manufactured and even quality control can not catch all variances.   The only way I have found to minimalize the chance of something not fitting is to physically try it on.  I have a closet full of shoes and boots that I have trouble wearing.  Because of an accident my hips and knees no longer want to adjust to whichever pair I chose to wear that day.   Thank goodness many stores sell Clark's and at good prices so I can still buy them if I take time to try them on.  With clothes I still have a few designers who I will purchase from on line.  The products are their designs but I do feel that QVC buys the designs and from there they take control of manufacturing and selling.  I believe that the designers are paid for their design, the use of that lines name and are paid to present the products on air.  I have heard several state that they have to purchase their designs just like we do.  They see the finished product for the first time before the show in their pre show meetings.  SG has said she sees some things for the first time on air.  There is a side to what QVC does to run a successful business that we don't see.  We control what and where we shop.  Reports state that sales are down.  Maybe poor sales will make someone actually read forums and other information as to why we are not buying.  Their computers have a sales record for each of us I am sure.  They can see my purchases are down.  I hope they return to Quality,Value,Convenience.   Costs of all things do go up but they do have control of the quality of products they chose to sell.

@Gram W I was not aware of the design purchase and then QVC tweaking it.  That's interesting, thanks.  I do agree that there have been reports about their sales being down.  I know my purchases have been very low this year, I just don't find things that really excite me.  I do have a couple of items that I'd like to see repeated and would purchase, but most are not, so won't risk the return factor.  Quality has been an issue for me on many things and I just won't try that vendor again.  I'm not going to return products, so that prettty much makes my decisions easy.

@3suwm5.   I did not mean that QVC tweaks any design.   The designers talk about how they have sit down meetings with the Q designers.  The design is discussed and suggestions are made.  Q decides what they think their customers will buy.  I have not heard who does the final twerking but Q does make the final choice.  Issac, Lori, Susan and others have made mention that they have to buy the product like we do.  They have said that friends come to them when a product is sold out at Q. They have said the finished product is owned by Q and the whole quantity is theirs.   On occasion the designers has mentioned that they had not yet seen the finished product until on air .  These are just my ideas from what I have heard the designers and hosts say on air.

I have to believe there's some "tweaking" going on...at least with Clarks.  I had purchased a pair of orange sneaker-like shoes that I believe were a TSV a couple of months ago.  A friend of mine absolutely fell in love with them, but doesn't do QVC.  I gave her all the information I could about the Clark's design name, etc.  Her son bought her a pair in London that carried the same description. However, the tops of mine are mesh and the tops of hers are not.  Crazy!

Gee, at least every month we get a new poster who says the same thing.

There is no way I would order a Dooney handbag from QVC.  I order from Macys and get free shipping.  They also have sales on their Dooney bags.  It would even be cheaper to order the bags from the Dooney site.  Not sure, but think I think I even saw where Dooney offers payments from bags on their site.

I am so disappointed with QVC over charging on shipping rates and when i have spoke to customer service they say it is their policy.  Time to take myself out to the mall and small business astablishments with coupons in hand!  Good Exercise is always a PLUS!

I'm with you!  I'm a long time QVC shopper, and posted a thread on this customer care forum yesterday, that I hoped would get a response from a QVC employee or mod.  That didn't happen

I posted here, after not getting any help from the CS phone employee I spoke to.  We can shop elsewhere!
