I returned a pair of Sketchers boots that clearly were defective.  One shoe was larger than the other.

I talked with Customer Service because it took forever for them to receive the return even though I sent it back USPS the day after delivery.

CS told me that because it was defective, They would return the 6.95 shipping charge also.

Not believing anything anymore, I checked with Synchrony.  Of course the 6.95 was not credited to my account.

So....this would mean, that had I not checked my balance, I would not have paid the 6.95 and then would have been charged a $15 late fee on top of everything else.

Be aware!!!!!

One of the reasons I don't order much from QVC.Shipping costs and returns are problematic and there are so many better options out there.

Why would you have been charged a $15 late fee?

@hick QVC is a huge, well established online selling site & it amazes me how antiquated the business is & we still shop here.

Shipping charges & return charges that definitely make me hesitate to purchase.

"Sales" that mostly are not what I would call a sale.

And I just attempted my first exchange. I had read here not to expect that to go well so I was watching.

I filled out all of the exchange information, which also went into the package. Took it to the Post Office & tracked it.

It took a few days for their agent to pick up the package from the PO. And then it limped it's way back to the Q & I finally saw......my refund.....

I called to confirm that I was not receiving my exchange. Nope.

Now I am watching.

I bought my daughter a Ninja Creami for her birthday & the Q did have a good deal & pretty colors. Free Shipping & money back in my Rakuten account.

She used it 2 times & it broke.

Instead of a long drawn out deal with an exchange I had her return the 1st one & re ordered the machine.

I know I will have to call & get that return fee taken off of my bill. Sigh.

This is the trend with QVC.  I have had to call a few times to get refunded the return shipping when it was defective.

@Dusty1

I'm so sorry, it seems you have not seen all the posts about even exchanges...

The majority of us Never just fill out the form and hope for the best...

You should always contact CS and request a new one be sent out immediately for anything defective esp!!

We all know you can't trust the returns dept to get anything right.  Is that acceptable?

Absolutely not, but it is the norm rather than the exception.

All my even exchanges have been pretty seamless.  New one is already on its way and then I schedule a free USPS pickup using the label.

I think the OP is saying she would have paid her CC bill the $6.95 short since she was due a full refund.

Any shortage on your payment will generate a late fee.

However, that could easily be avoided several ways:

Checking your Q order status would show she received the wrong refund.  Then QVC CS could fix it.

Checking your Synchrony account would have showed a shortage of the full refund.  Then a call to QVC CS.

All of this can be done before your monthly due date.

Shamefully we often have to jump through hoops, but the OPs issue is an OLD one.  SMH

@hick. Did you call and get your $6.95 return fee refunded?  They also owe you the return of your original shipping fee.
