Hello,

Just wondering what is QVC's stance on the recalled Bauer Candies?  They are still for sale.  I purchased some for Christmas gifts.  Is there a refund?

Re: Bauers candies recall

[ Edited ]

@kittyr99 - Thanks for posting this; I buy the Bauers Modjeskas frequently and hadn't heard a word about a recall. Fortunately, it looks like my last purchase was in the middle of October, so we should be okay. I hope your situation works out well, too!

UPDATE: Bauer Candies released a statement on their website about the FDA alert released on December 6th, 2018:

"Upon notification of his illness, Bauer’s voluntarily closed the facility, discarded all candy in house, sanitized per protocol, and began working with Federal and State agencies. An investigation by our local health department and the FDA found that the risk of contamination to the candy made during this time is extremely low. These agencies have cleared us to continue operation. No candy products manufactured after November 25 are affected in any way."

There have been posts about the recall for over a month & QVC has Product Recall Information on this website, the link is at the bottom under Policies & Information, it's easy to find.  QVC stopped selling the candy because of the recall & the candy being sold now is not part of the recall, it's safe to eat.
