Hello all! Well i stopped shopping on QVC for a couple reason but the straw that broke the camels back was that i would be watching a program of an item being shown and offered and i would either call in or go on line to buy it and the price would not be the advertised price that was offered on the TV. I would call in and i would be told "oh sorry you must be watching a previously recorded program so the price went back up" What the heck is that? So i watch a presentation they put on tv and say the price ends tonight and when i wentt to go buy it would be told so sorry charlie no go on that price EVEN THOUGH I WOULD STILL BE WATCHING THE PRESENTATION WITH SALE PRICE OFFERED!!!! I think this is illlegal as if they make an offer at a certain price and then tell you no go its false advertising and i know in our home state of Oregon our AG dont like that kind of stuff AT ALL! They are strict when it comes to advertising.
Anyway, I came back and got bait and switched again....suckered again...time wasted again so this time i am really done and ill trash QVC to everybody i do biz with both online and in person! Sick and tired of this kind of thing with QVC!
Goooot....ByEEE!

@gprippers When you were watching was it a live show or something previously recorded? If it had been recorded earlier in the day or another day I can understand the price can often be different.
Only when you're watching a live show the price should be the same as when you go to make the purchase.....and if it's a one time only the price will sometimes expire when the live show ends. The host will mention this multiple times during the show.

This is a public forum and, yes, people CAN voice their opinion and/or a complaint, even if the subject has come up in here before. Some people posting in this forum are posting here for their very first time. It would be nice if they're given some grace or politeness. I'm not saying the OP is right.
Having said that, I do think the OP used the wrong terminology because it's not a 'bait and switch'. Although the price shown is valid only on live shows, I do think QVC should put some kind of 'visual' notification (maybe a crawler running across) when they rerun the program to show that the price will NOT be the same as shown. It can be confusing to some, especially older people or infrequent/new buyers who are not accustomed to the show's programming.
I've often wondered if it wouldn't be to QVC's advantage to honor the price they're showing on a rerun and actually get the sale, instead of finding out it's not the price shown and losing the sale altogether. We all know that TSV's and sale prices on QVC are not that much lower in price from the non-sale price.
It reminds me of when you go to buy something in a store and the management doesn't remove the sale price and you go to buy it. Most often the store will honor the 'sale' price.
That might not be an exact analogy to this situation, but it's a point QVC might want to reconsider. It just might boost their sales and that seems to be something they need, plus it's good customer service. After all , isn't that one reason why many of us like Amazon so much...for their customer service?

Dictionary dot com defines bait and switch as a sales tactic in which a customer is attracted by the advertisement of a low-priced item but is then encouraged to buy a higher-priced one.

@gprippers It's not bait and switch - If you are watching a previously aired show there is a box in the bottom left hand corner above the QR code that says "offers and inventory may have changed". That is mostly on QVC2

@ciao_bellasaid: I do think QVC should put some kind of 'visual' notification (maybe a crawler running across) when they rerun the program to show that the price will NOT be the same as shown.
During rerun shows there is a graphic on screen that says "Offers & inventory may have changed."
If you go to the item to order online "Previously recorded videos may contain expired pricing, exclusivity claims, or promotional offers." is part of the listing.
That notice is also posted during live shows.
If this problem keeps occurring with OP it is either s/he is not paying attention when she orders.
IMO once a poster starts saying they will trash QVC, contact the BBB, file a complaint, etc. it screams faux complaint/trolling.
