Why does it say an item is in stock & we're preparing your order then after over 24 hours it goes to backorder? You should now how much stock you have! When I placed my order you had my size & color available for hours after I placed mine. I found something I really needed. I am disappointed to say the least!

This happens to me regularly.  I place an order and it's in stock.  Days later my account says backorder like they over sold it???  I don't get it either.

This has happened with several of my orders as well. And those orders were never filled.

@Buffalogal47 - As I understand it, if I order an item I know has already sold out I go on "waitlist." I have to wait until they get more new product in, someone cancels her order, or someone returns her order. If I order an item and the item later goes to "backorder," it means the vendor didn't send enough and I have to wait until they send more to QVC.  

 

If I'm on backorder, I will usually get email updates from QVC. Smiley Happy

When an item is on waitlist , usually you can go back and cancel the order. However , if you order and then it says backorder - the system won't let you delete the order
