Anyone returned a recliner recently

I'm thinking of returning a recliner I bought on qvc and wondered if anyone else has done so and how the process went, I also wanted to know if they charge you to  return it, thanks

I did.   Required a lot of time and effort.  It was defective and I received refund for entire amount paid.

@redhed848  Can't help because I would never buy such an expensive item from TV.

@redhed848    Did you hear this morning that huge new tariffs on furniture go into effect October 1st?  You might want to rethink that return if you need a chair.

Of course not all furniture is imported.

Hi, @redhed848 ! I'm so sorry the recliner didn't end up working out for you and know how frustrating it can be to make a return. You can make the return using a Q Return label that can be printed online by going to your order and clicking "Start a Return or Exchange" or you can get a QR Code (using this same process) that can be scanned at your nearest UPS store. There is a return label fee for the use of our return label that will depend on the weight of the item. However, if the return is due to receiving an incorrect or defective item, we will not charge you this fee. Please feel free to reach out to us if you need any additional assistance with your return by emailing us at QVCSocialTeam@qvc.com, and we will be more than happy to help.

@kaydee50  - Not everyone is able to get out and about to shop at furniture stores.  Some don't have funiture shows in their areas.  It may be necessary for some to purchase on television or online.

I've purchased mattresses and other large items online with no issues.

Sarrah? Is this the standard answer for any return? how is the world would I take a recliner to UPS?   I was told by a rep that I need to call and request a pick up for the chair , not do what you are telling me to do.

With all due respect Sarrah, how is the OP supposed to get a recliner to a UPS store? Sounds like a canned response that does not apply to the item the OP has an issue with and needs to return.

in defense of @SarrahQVC ....she DID say if you need further assistance to contact customer service at qvcsocialteam@qvc.com .

its always a great idea to do this in the first place with questions that are a bit more complicated, as this one is.

Re: Anyone returned a recliner recently

@Lovestheshores   I think if OP calls QVC, she can arrange pick up. I don't know OP age, or reason for return. I have read that in return instructions all the time. Now there might be small fee for UPS, (or the ilk ) pick up, a few dollars .  But not if it is defective or unsatisfactory.  Of course if a person just doesn't like it, or no longer wants it that is different. Buyer will pay for postage when returned. But I am sure that UPS will come to home to pick up. You need box though!
