In the past, if I remember correctly, QVC would not charge the item until it was shipped.  Now the amount shows up on my credit card the same day I ordered.  Minor point, perhaps, but still another blackmark for QVC's shipping policies.

The reason that you see the amount on your card the same day you ordered the item, is because QVC has to verify that the funds are available on that card..

That will drop off in a day or so, then your card will actually be charged when your item ships.

Account is not charged until item is shipped.  Doesn't even hit as a pending charge on my account.

I always pay by check.  CR told me it takes 5 business days for them to process/clear a check.  Once processed/cleared the item is shipped. 

With my experience, I have always received my items within 2 weeks of me mailing my check.

I always mail the check the next morning after I order.

I suspect that on the Q's end, my acct info is noted that I pay by check 100% of the time.
