It's so disappointing to order an item that shows 'in stock' when you order it, your order status shows 'In Process', then it shows 'Backorder'
And the item is now sold out and was the only order until 2018.

I know how you feel! I ordered a pair of earrings that were "in stock" and it showed in process for a few days. Then it went to backorder and after a few weeks they CANCELLED my order!!! Aparently the didn't have any when they took my order.

I personally think that QVC should have spent their resources on fixing the many, many problems on their website (including 'meltdowns' where their customers can't even check out their purchases), than wasting it on creating 'QVC2' & 'Beauty IQ'.

If they had an adequate computer system, it should keep up with the available inventory so that this doesn't happen, as well as fix many other issues with their website.
Such as many of us who asked to get the Insider & link, but still don't, even after I've had the Social Team check into it on several occasions.
They couldn't figure out why either and "referred my problem to the IT Team" several months ago, but I've heard nothing from them since and nothing has changed, sadly.
I'm signed up to receive ALL QVC emails and have received them for 22+ years, but now I only get TSV & order emails.
But unfortunately QVC seems to focus on less important things, like changing page formats and adding more channels and hosts.

I agree! I don't know if they have an inadequate computer system or inadequate tech department or both. It seems to have gotten worse lately as demonstrated by the all too often message "having technical difficulties" on the website.

I ordered a TSV (the light weight cast iron pan with lid) during the early morning. Didn't show sold out until evening. My oder was in process for 6 days. I contacted customer care and was told it was on backorder but just received more in and would be shipped out next day. What!!!! No excuse. QVC needs to get their act together. I think ever since they purchased HSN, everything has gone down hill.
orders, IT, in process system, shipping, everything. I think they are losing customers.

Indeed they will lose customers--I am ordering less, and as the problems have continued, less yet again......... Maybe it is me, but it seems the quality and class of a good amount of the merchandise offered and presented has declined!

In Feb, 2016, the papers came out with the news that several QVC Departments were being outsourced to Poland, IT being one of them. The IT problems QVC is having could stem from that.
