I ordered a glass Hurricane from 'As Is" and it arrived broken because someone put the battery case unwrapped inside the glass hurricane to bounce around  while in transit.  I returned and reordered the same item from 'As Is', it arrived today.  Yes, broken again because the foam that held the lid was broken off and the lid traveled against the top of the hurricane breaking off  pieces of glass.  Why would QVC send out a package in that condition?  I'm assuming  that someone does check packages that are returned  and they had to see the foam was broken off.

Too bad @lucymo.  That really stinks.  Ordered an as is 15" snowman.  Looked perfect, put batteries in it and could see black wires through his stomach.  Then reordered and decided to order two.  If both were good, I'd keep two.  If only one was good, at least I had another shot.  If both were bad, then I'm done.  They arrived and looked perfect, put batteries in and could see black wires through his side.  The other was perfect lit or unlit.  Two were sent back yesterday.

My face will be on the most returned for defect flier at the Q soon. 😳

@GCR18  lol.  I'll be right there with you. Wonder if they'll post our picture in the post office as I will surely see it as I'll be there returning a box of broken glass that I used a roll of shipping tape on to keep the glass from injuring anyone.  Then I put a huge note on top warning anyone opening the box.  I won't be ordering anymore 'as is' Hurricanes or Apothecary jars and the like. I just canceled an 'as is' order for another glass jar and ordered from regular priced merchandise.

Sorry you've received defective items too.  I used to get good items there and saved some money too.  I know you do that a lot too. These glass jars can't be shipped with broken or missing foam, it never ends well.

Hope you have a great day and they don't work you too hard.  lol.  I have appointments today so lots of running around.

That's very frustrating. I would hope that the department that handles "As Is" products, would check that. What is even more frustrating, is when you return a damaged, or broken product, you have to pay the $6.95 return fee. So, I don't order "As Is" items anymore for that reason.

@Effie54, if you return an item that was received damaged or defective (even "as-is") you do not pay the return label fee. If the Q charges you this fee call CS and they will refund your shipping costs.

@lucymo there are long stretches where everything is good, then a spurt with bad.  I really don't need anything, so I won't be looking.  I need to be good and save some money.
