Re: $40 Credit if you open a Q Card

When I applied for this card, it says $40 account credit upon approval.  I read all the fine print and followed everything. Upon opening the card you're supposed to make a purchase and that you'll get your 40.00 account credit  within 6 to 8 weeks after purchase has been made. I made a purchase in November and it's now February and still have not gotten my 40.00 account credit.Now their excuse was, that I used a different email when I made a purchase and it doesn't match the one I used when I applied for the account. What does the email got to do with this! I'm the same person that made the purchase and the same person on the card when I opened it with the same address!!! I called the number on the credit card but they said that they have nothing to do with this and that I have to call QVC. I called QVC 3 times and every phone call that I made, they kept telling me someone will be calling me after 3 days. I did not receive any phone calls from this people. Now what I'm going to do is, subtract the 40.00 from my total purchase. I gave them plenty of time to resolve this issues and still no resolutions after all these calls that I made. I already made a copy of all these complaints and will still give them a few days to resolve this, and if I don't get my 40.00 account credit,  they are giving me no choice but to turn this to the Better Business Bureau. This is plain Scam! Misleading!!

Re: $40 Credit if you open a Q Card

I don't have a Q card, So I can't comment on their

situation. However, many many companies, offer the best incentives, to new customers.

The cell phone industry is notorious for this. I have been a customer, of, Tmobile for 15 years,  new phones come out for instance, Great incentives, for new customers, nothing similar, for us long timers!

I understand the need to continually attract new customers, but loyalty should be appreciated, also.

I opened a Q card account when recently (I'm going to estimate November 2019)  they offered a $50 credit.  I purchased two items totalling $70 plus dollars not long after that.   My bill is due in four days and I do not see the fifty dollar  credit.

I'm a bit disgusted because I wouldn't have paid what I did for the items (or opened a new credit card)  if I had not been promised the fifty dollar credit.

 QVC needs to seriously address this   They're going to get alot of complaints to BBB if not.

@susiQ

i posted the terms above.

you do not get a credit on your QCARD statement so make sure to pay your bill.

the credit will come to your qvc.com online account and you can apply it to a future order. you should see it there. if you dont, contact qvcsocialteam@qvc.com to find out when it will be applied. the credit will have an expiration date.

Correct @sunshine45 .  Some customers get confused about that tho.

@sunshine45, Sandra Bennett repeatedly says that you get this $40.00 statement credit.  Just Sunday night she said when you open your bill, you will see a nice $40.00 credit.

This has been going on for months now and no one is correcting the hosts about this.

Re: $40 Credit if you open a Q Card

I called customer service about this yesterday.  My husband signed up for the Q card on Dec.1.  They said you get the $40.00 account credit 6-8 weeks after the promotion ends. It ended on Dec. 20. Hopefully his credit shows up soon.

@yamma024

it will show up on his QVC account and not on the credit card account.

when you go through an ordering process you should see a box that says QVC CREDIT to apply to order. it DOES have an expiration date so keep checking.

if you have questions or concerns contact qvcsocialteam@qvc.com to see when i tmight be applied.....it should probably already be on his account.

Re: $40 Credit if you open a Q Card

[ Edited ]

@jerusalem - I recommend sending a message to the moderators of this forum at QVCSocialTeam@qvc.com — they are great about helping with purchase and account resolution issues. In the meantime, I suggest that you avoid applying your own version of accounting by underpaying by $40; the only person who will suffer from that decision is you, as you could be subject to penalties in the form of additional interest, late payment fees, or other violations of the Q Card's fine print. If you're patient, you should get your account credit (mine took the full eight weeks to appear), and it will only be valid for a future QVC purchase and cannot be applied to your existing credit card balance. Good luck!

Re: $40 Credit if you open a Q Card

I have not received my credit either. Do you see a pattern here? All of us that were promised a $40 credit to open a q card have not received it. I know the deal about getting switched from Synchrony Bank back to QVC back to the Synchrony Bank back to QVC you could spend the whole day on the phone and get nowhere. I have but several hundred dollars since I took out that card and is it still not showed up as a credit. I am just about enough tired of QVC dishonesty to just say the heck with them and go with Amazon for all of my future purchases. No more waiting 2 weeks for an order when I can get it in 2 days.

Re: $40 Credit if you open a Q Card

I ended up in this forum becuase I"m habving the same problem. I made a purchase in April and was supposed to receive a $50 creidt. The only reason I opened and used a Q card was because of the credit. It's been 3 months, I've made 4 phone calls, and still nothing. Q card says to contact QVC. Qvc says they've issued another request to apply the credit. In the interim, I've paid off the card, but not before paying an additional $10 in interest because I assumed the credit would come through as promised.

Has anyone ever received a resolution?

Re: $40 Credit if you open a Q Card

@lombardo12 - I'm sorry you've had problems getting your credit applied. However, it is important to note that the promotion is a credit to your QVC member account for your purchases at qvc.com, not a credit to your Q Card, so it would not have had any impact on your interest accruals.
