But it isn't cane sugar or sugar syrups like you get in flavored/sweented yogurt.  The sugar for fresh fruit is healthy and not a refined sugar.

Plain, whole milk yogurt at my house. I make my own, unless I'm feeling lazy.

I love yogurt and always have....  now I have to have unsweetened and add my own unsweetened fruit but I have it often.  It also replenishes the "good" bacteria in your gut, something needed when/if you take a lot of antibiotics.  Woman LOL

Re: yogurt ~ yea or ???

[ Edited ]

i make my own yogurt and have for years.....so delicious and so easy.

we eat it as a side dish almost every night with dinner.....but as a savory dish versus a sweet dish. add things like dill, mint, cucumbers, spinach, garlic, pickled beets, walnuts, raisins,

i occasionally buy yogurt, but mostly to use as a starter. i will buy white mountain, chobani, or f-a-g-e.

i LOVE the noosa salted caramel yogurt and a few of their fruit yogurts.

If it's one I actually like then it has a ton of sugar in it, so I don't eat it.  The first time I tasted Greek yogurt, I thought I bought a tub of sour cream by mistake.  Ick.

It does and it's digested better because of the fiber in the fruit, and fruit is allowed (in so many carbs, you still have to count the carbs) for Diabetics.... Woman Happy

I eat plain greek yogurt everyday non fat.   The yogurt  I eat  has only  3 grams of natural sugars( lower than most) and  is  lower carb.   Has 20 grams of protein per cup and 140 calories.  I eat it usually with some strawberrries and blueberries frozen unsweetened. A bit of vanilla stevia and flax meal on top.  LOVE IT.

I have a love hate relationship with yogurt. I eat it for awhile and love it, especially Greek, however after a bit I don't want to look at it. I don't  know why.

I don't care for yogurt outright but I do occasionally use Greek Yogurt to make Tzatziki sauce, dips, etc.
