remember little Bindi.........well look at her NOW....................................raven

Yes, she's very sweet looking. Point of interest: Terry had to layoff a lot of employees and some of them are quite disgruntled and are bad mouthing her zoo. I think the problem is that tourists from the U.S. has significantly dropped off because the exchange rate really stinks and their prices have not gone down. Certainly air faire from LA to Sydney should drop significantly if they expect Americans to go there. Right now $1 USD equals $1.13. Not much incentive considering what the rate of exchange used to be.

but wouldn't you think that it would have to do with Steve not being around......at least to some degree.........it was his show and his passion for showing these animals in their natural living environment that made people want to go to his zoo..........I know Bindi has stated she wants to keep her father's work going.........but those are BIG shoes to fill..................she is a beautiful thing, her dad would have been proud.................................raven

Actually, it was his parent's zoo. Yes, it was a horrible thing when Steve died but I can't imagine people not wanting to go because of it. I would go if the exchange rate was better.

She's a neat little girl. Can't imagine what the future holds for her!

I've read that there has been controversy between Steve's father and Terry regarding fulfilling Steve's dreams and the laid off employees taking sides. This from a story I read that was printed in 2011. But, the zoo is still in business. Apparently, Steve's father had a desire to open a new zoo that would compete with Terry's but it never happened.
