I had not ever heard that either.

That must have been something to see.
I'm planning on going to Iceland in the next 5 years, if not sooner. Did you go in the lagoon?
No, it was just a longer than expected layover. Where I would like to go and see it all is Norway. You can see them from there, also.

We were in Chicago yesterday and it was FREEZING. Low 50's!!! Midday. Flew into Philly and it was hot and muggy at almost midnight. That was better though, lol.
We're at the beach and you can feel a chill in the air now (I have socks on), but it was beautiful today.
I'm used to milder southern winter weather and will be happy to get home. I dread that Artic Freeze, it hit us last winter and it was horrible. Supposed to reach us this winter too. Painful!

You can see the Northern Lights at the Canadian Space Agency's website in Yellowknife, NWT, Canada. However it stay light there until very late; they're saying their camera will be on in about 2 1/2 hours. I watch it all winter.

HiYa Chickenbutt!
It's good to see you.
"The way you assemble your wood before lighting it is called the Fire Lay and there are a few classic methods to use, depending on what you will use your fire for."From How to build a campfire.
Ahh, thank you! I'd never heard that term before and thought maybe it meant something - well, I had no idea. hehe
I never was much one for camping, although I have done it numerous times in the past.
I guess these lights are probably too far north for most of us to see, yes? I've seen pictures over the years and it looks absolutely spectacular!
