Why do posters look for a ""gotcha moment"" - doubting where she is and looking around the boards to see if she posted at the ""wrong time"". Sheesh.

You can be so tiring. You retain the title of number one board patrol attendant. Over the years there have been many, but none as tiresome as yourself.

My day in court was stressful. The offer he made on the house was ridiculous and I rejected. We now have another court date set for April 8th. As for my ring, I took it to one jewlry store and they offered me less then what I was expecting. They suggested a consignment store so I will check that out. By the way I do live in California so there is a time zone difference.

If you decide to sell it, just know you won't get anywhere near what the ring is appraised for.

My neighbor owns a high end jewelry store-one of his customers sold a 2 carat diamond ring (appraisal 32,000.00) for $8,000. I'll try to find the name of the company that bought it-very reputable company with offices all over the world.

The name of the company is Circa Jewels, in Chicago, Il.

You can also try Jewels by Grace (jewelsbygrace dot com). I've both consigned and purchased from her. She's located in the Los Angeles area.

If you email/speak with her be very frank. Tell her what your situation is and your timeline (if you have one). She can provide you with excellent advice.

I hope everything works out well for you; I went through a divorce many years ago and it was gut-wrenching going to court; I dojo pe you have adequate legal representation If not, contact the legal aid office in your area.I would not sell your ring until you have the outcome of the house, etc determined. You will get quite a but less for it than you might think so hopefully you won't be depending on a specific amount for it. Good luck to you.

Thank you for your tips. I live in the Bay Area ( Silicon Valley) its a 3 stone white gold platinim diamond ring and it cost 6,000.00 I know I won't get that price but was hoping for 1/2 at least. As for the house my ex wanted to give me 25,000.00 now and wait 5 years to pay me the rest based on an old appraisel. I know the house is worth 700,000.00 at least. It was court ordered for independent appraisal and then it will be decided in regards to sale. 48 more days of waiting and stressing this messy divorce.
