Have you seen the new food trend called Vegan Bacon?

Cut rice papers into strips, dip them in a marinade (peanut butter, maple syrup, nutritional yeast, chipotle powder, soy sauce..for example) and bake.

I've never made it, but SO many people in my plant-based world discovered this recipe just in time for summer....VBLT sandwiches!...and LOVE the bacon-y taste & crispness.    Just Google  'vegan bacon' or search in YouTube for different recipes.

Rice paper.  I love to use it.  You just use your imagination just don't fill too full.

SIDS....I'm aware of eggplant bacon but this is a new treat to try!  I'll make some rice wrapper bacon tomorrow and report the results.  Thanks for the new recipe...sounds decadent and yummy!

Sids...You made my day!  I have all the fixins' and I'm on my way to the Instant Pot to start cooking some Jasmine rice...this sounds fantastic!  Thanks....

I'm going to copy SidsMom.  Someone gave me packages of round dumpling wrappers, medium square wonton wraps, and another round whatever, all frozen.  I didn't know what to do with them, and now I know!  Thank you!  Also, I might brush butter on them, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar and than bake.  Just to try!

How about a drizzle of carob/maple syrup sauce on top??!
