Re: what are we doing during this stay at home period

Recovering slowly from respiratory infection, not Wuhan virus and

needlepoint, needlepoint, needlepoint.

A large 18"x22" piece from 1995, with threads, still beautiful botanical designs.

Working from home, take breaks. eat lunch, do some light house work, eat dinner, and read or watch some TV.

DH is home so things are a little different, I am still doing laundry but no shirts or slacks.

Todays plan clean out under the sink and tommorrow to tackle the fridge

Skyping with family. Chatting on the phone with my buddies. Shredding old documents and other paperwork and expired i.d. cards. Cleaning out three walk-in closets. I have way too much clothing, shoes and handbags.

Re: what are we doing during this stay at home period

I've spent way too much time online reading the depressing news.  DH and I are getting caught up on "Outlander".

So far I have organized my refrigerators  (I have one in the garage in addition to the kitchen) and the chest freezer out in the garage too.  I'm well stocked for now.

About ten years ago I got into buying a lot of scrapbooking supplies.  I made a lot of cards but still have tons of supplies...I'm thinking of working on making those family vacation scrapbooks I've been meaning to get around to.

I'm retired so I'm cleaning the attic and cellar of things we don't use, need, or want.  I will donate good items to the Vietnam Veterans of America and throw away the rest.  I used to collect Longaberger baskets and didn't realize how many I actually had.  Those are being donated too and they're in great condition so I know someone will use and appreciate them.  I've emptied 7 bins so far so I'm making progess.  Gotta keep busy!!

@scoop ok, I have to use your motivation to get moving!  I know I have tons of L baskets and should get them out and packed, sons want nothing to do with them but they have both told me NOT to get rid of their Legos! Seriously, I must pack them up or they'll never forgive me. Smiley Happy

I also have 2 separate attics to clear.  Ugh.  Just have to get going.

Re: what are we doing during this stay at home period

I've been retired almost 10 years, so I've adjusted to "staying home."

Nothing different now.   Besides normal household chores .....

  • I knit and crochet for charity and have some other ministry work.
  • Genealogy research projects that I've been working on for about 40 years.
  • Participate in webinairs .... heavy-duty subjects that require lots of reading/research.
  • Recreational reading.
  • Hanging out on line for an hour or so a day.

The only thing I'm missing now is physical therapy .... they are closed for this week.  So - I go for a walk in the afternoons to prevent "relapse."
