Re: welcome winter

I am a Spring and Summer person who adores flowers and sunshine, so sadly I have to say Winter is my least favorite season.

But DH loves snow and ice, and cannot wait to go skiing.

We have already been to Vermont for ski slope opening day, and we will be heading to several more places for him to ski before the warm weather arrives again.

@lil sophie I love sleeping with lots of blankets (even tho I'm in So Calif it still gets in the 40s at night here).

Nothing. I love the longer days of summer and I don't mind the heat.

When I was a kid, I liked to play in the snow. As an adult, I hate shoveling it.

I love the peace and quiet of winter, the beauty of the first snow, The air is clear and healthy, the cold motivates and energizes me, I enjoy being out and about. I don't have to listen to the noise pollution of mowers and leaf blowers that jolt me out of bed in the morning and continue throughout the day. I don't mind it being dark earlier, I read, listen to music, catch up with friends by phone or e-mail or just quietly relax and watch a favorite movie. I welcome the season.
