I had been reading about water fountains for cats and that because of the waterfall sound, it attracts cats to drink more. Apparently, most cats don't consume adequate amounts of water.
I looked for one on Amazon and they did have mostly positive reviews but most were quite expensive. I found one made by Animal Planet at Bed, Bath & Beyond and it was only $19.99. It is nice looking and doesn't require filters. I already use filtered water so that works for me! It does hum a little but it's in a spare room so I don't really hear it and the cat doesn't seem to mind.
I just wanted to let you know that I have had it about a month now and I truly believe my cat is drinking more! I have noticed a significant amount more of 'clumps' when cleaning the litter box. Though I'm not so thrilled about more 'clumps' to clean (yuck), I am definitely thrilled that my cat is drinking more and no doubt will be healthier because of it! ![]()
Just wanted to share this positive note in case anyone was debating about getting one.
